Etsy needs to stop allowing Apple sign in on the app if they are not going to fix the download issue

I know it's been raised before but it seems to have gotten even more frequent.

When someone uses "Sign in as Apple User" on the Etsy app and purchases a download, they get no download links in their purchase history even when logging in with a web browser instead of the app. Etsy knows this is a problem.

It's like there is a disconnect in matching the account between app and desktop sign ins. This is likely because the Apple sign in method masks the actual email address. Other companies allow Apple sign in without issue so Etsy could make it work right but apparently it's too much effort. It adds work for sellers and an unpleasant experience for buyers. Grrr.

Agreed. It is annoying for both buyers and sellers.

When I send the file to them and show them where it's stored in their account I let them know why they didn't get it (sign in with apple id) and that they should contact etsy if they'd like to let etsy know it's still a problem. Buyer feedback seems to be more important to etsy than seller feedback.

But not every Apple user uses this ability to mask.  So that could mean a reduction in users who prefer to use their Apple account if they could not use it.
