Is anyone else having a problem printing out Etsy mailing labels? Mine are printing out so large that the entire label will not show up. It doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my computer or printer, so I'm thinking it's on Etsy's end.
It's starting to look like maybe people who upgraded to Firefox 103.01, which was activated on August 1 2022, are having this problem. However, I and others first reported the Etsy labels problem on July 25. Hmmm...
After trying numerous times - I switched from Firefox to Safari as suggested in comments and it finally printed the right size. What a waste of time and printer ink trying to figure this out. Is this an Etsy issue or a Firefox issue?
I'm having the same problem and I've always used Firefox. I'm on a mac and no adjustments on the printer window changes the issue. Now I take a screenshot of the label and then print it at 50%. My printer has had no issues with anything else but the Etsy labels.
I hadn't heard of this solution before but I'm glad to hear it works. Thank you in case I ever want to try that. For right now, I'm happy using PayPal instead.
There was a message pinned in red on our dashboards ages ago saying something about Etsy no longer supporting Firefox after a certain date or something. Could it be that?
Hmmm..very interesting. I don't really remember seeing the notice but it certainly could have something to do with it. As I said above, I will just use PayPal instead. It's easy enough.
Firefox works fine for me on Windows, but have the same overly zoomed view with Firefox on MacOS. If I download it, and open it in Preview, it will print correctly.
This started when FF updated a few days back. i saw in one thread that they finally admitted the problem was with that update . They said they are working on it and HOPE to have it "fixed" by their NEXT update!
There is a bug report on the Firefox bug reporting site about "Printing PDF results in improper size on page". Rolling back to the previous version seems to help.
I just printed a label on Firefox by ACCIDENT--and it printed correctly. I had both FF and Chrome open on my PC (win10) and accidently printed with FF as I had Chrome minimized.
Don't know if it is "fixed" or what but was just happy it worked!
Hi, I have found this issue in Firefox forums and they are hoping it will be fixed in the next browser update. For those of you not wanting to switch browsers, there is the option of saving the label to your desktop, opening with adobe/pdf reader, and then printing (make sure your label printer is selected) and they will print normally as 4x6. I just delete the label after. It’s an annoying extra step for sure, but wanted to offer it to others out there.
I’m having this problem with Firefox (on a Mac) also. I don’t want to use another browser, and downloading labels seems an unnecessary step. I just want to print and get my items packaged!
Here’s what I found to be the best work-around: Don’t use the Firefox PDF viewer. I chose to open my label and packing slip PDFs with Preview. You could also choose Acrobat, but I find Preview quicker.
Go to “Choose another PDF viewer to use by default or set Firefox to always ask” and follow the directions to “Disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer” and “Set Firefox to ask you what to do with PDF files”.
Thanks for sharing that! I didn't realize Firefox had that option, and I agree this is a much better alternative, and I'll probably just keep it this way, even if Firefox fixes their issue.
@LwcusStudioLtd- Agreed! I will keep it this way also. It eliminates the extra step of telling Firefox that I want to use my system's print dialog box, which I prefer to do.

I understand not wanting to use a different browser - I've used Chrome exclusively for more than a decade, but when little problems crop up that didn't happen before, the first test I run is with a different browse. This can determine if the problem is browser related or caused by one of the myriad other variables. Think it might help you?
Thank you. It's very nice of you to explain all this, and I understand your thinking and appreciate you answering. I solved the problem not long after I posted the question by using Paypal to print my mailing labels. It's simple, it's actually a few cents cheaper, and most importantly, it works !!
