Hi can someone help me please, I am trying to get in contact with Etsy, and can’t get any reply. I opened my shop 3-4weeks ago, and every time I add something to the shop, someone from Etsy contacts me to ask for verification of my bank details or my shop will be suspended. I am concerned that I might be getting scammed. Can someone help me with this. Since getting this email I am not getting anyone visiting my shop, this has happened numerous times, and I can’t get a response from ETSY.

Etsy messages people via Etsy convo and ONLY within the From Etsy folder (you can see this in messages if you use the desktop browser and not the app).

This sounds like it's a scam. 

Scammers are constantly visiting new shops to get them off the site and get information from them.

Also, when you open a new shop you get a boost. However, that only lasts for a short while. So there is no real correlation between getting these emails and no one visiting your shop at this time.

Those messages are SCAMS

Do not reply to them, do not click any links, do not give out any information -- email, bank account etc

Any message that really is from Etsy will be in the "From Etsy" folder of Messages -- check this on a browser rather than through the app
If it is not in this folder, it is not a legit message, no matter how real it appears.

Just mark them as spam and forget about them

Unfortunately, the spammers are able to target new shops --but they do try older shops as well but with less success as established sellers know how Etsy works and are less likely to fall for the scam than a new seller.
Etsy is doing what it can to prevent them but it is like whack-a-mole -- they close one scam account and a myriad more open in their place.

Just be vigilant and stop and think before replying to any message

Those are scam messages. Etsy will NEVER contact you through message asking for verification details of your bank.
If you have replied to any of those messages and/or clicked any links/QR codes or entered your banking / credit card info, then CALL your bank and/or CC to freeze your accounts before those crooks steal your money.

If anything, ever needs updating on your account, it will be on YOUR shop manager > Dashboard page or your finance page.

Did you not notice the info right below those messages and right above where you type a reply????
