I've spent ages changing a listing that has never sold, I added new images and a new video, changed the text, but when I try to publish changes a red box appears at the box and says that 'we're having trouble saving your changes, try again and to contact etsy support'
It's so frustrating. I don't want to lose all the work and I feel that I've wasted so much time in making a video etc.
Anyone else having this issue?
Update: Having spoken to support I now discover that there is an issue with the new listing form, when I changed to the old version I could publish my changes. If anyone is having issues it may be better if you changed to the older version and see if that works for you.

New to this what is the old form?
@EdithAndEarl: When using a browser (not the app) you can toggle between the 'old' listing form and the 'new' listing form. There should be a blue banner at the top of the listing form when in edit mode with a button to switch to the other format.
How do you go to old listing because I really wanna sell and I’m over here crying please help

The old version is no longer available, and I'm still having this issue.
Hi all, another fix I found was to change my listing from "Digital" to "Physical Item", fill in the details with random stuff, make sure they're all filled, apply, and then go back and change it to digital, and it will save.
I think this is due to Etsy thinking you haven't put a origin address for physical deliveries.
Apparently they have removed the ability now to use the old form. I don't see any blue bar at the top to change to the old version when in the edit mode. Here is the error I'm getting and I am unable to get a hold of Etsy support. Very frustrating.
There was a problem saving your changes. Contact Etsy Support and make sure to include this error code in your message:
Error code: EueRhUmHFwDQ6GsoyrptjNPu4d53
this worked! thanks for sharing as it helped me resolve my issue by switching to the old form and then back to the new one
This worked for me as well! It just didn't make sense to get this error on a handful of existing listings when making swaps of images. It has been so frustrating. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I've just been having this problem and the solution that worked for me involved the 'Alt descriptions' on my images. They were all within the 250 character limit but it wouldn't let me save.
I found Etsy uses symbol codes for certain characters, so every time an inverted comma/apostrophe is used it translates it to ' ' ', this was taking me above the 250 character limit and was causing an error. As soon as I reduced the number of characters it saved straightaway.
I'm not sure if they do this for other characters but I'm guessing they do.
This might not be causing your particular issue, but it's something to be mindful of, and might help somebody who has been banging their head up the wall for the last few hours like I have.
Good luck!
This solved my problem. Thank you!!!!!
I just had the same issue and the ability to switch to the old version does not seem to be available any longer. Turns out that the listing form does not like a "." in the item size form controls. I had 6.5 for length and switched it to just 6 and it then saved.
Thank you so much for posting this! Exact solution to my problem.
Finally, worked thanks to PawtraitsAUS!
I also found that this problem resolved itself when I changed the listing category. Then went back in and changed it back.
yes!
october 2024 - I have the same problem and no solution worked. I am not able to modify any listing!
I was able to fix the problem by creating a new shipping profile. I’m not sure what I did exactly exactly but I haven’t had the problem since. Good luck!
SOLUTION, october 2024: a new shipping profile! @ItsInVintage THANK YOU: the problem was the SHIPPING PROFILE (also if it was labelled "fixed"), there was an empty field, and even if it wasn't mandatory, after filling it all worked, and I was able to save changes and add new listings again! Thanks a lot
I'm having the same issue. I've created a couple of listings now which I've had to abandon. Very frustrating.
I've just tried changing it to a digital product and it saved as a draft successfully. I then went back into it and change it back to a physical product, then it failed to save again with the same error.
Logged a ticket with Etsy but getting no response apart from their standard ticket closure message and an email asking "How did we do?"
The option to change back to the old listing style isn't there anymore. Not sure what to do...
Ahh got it. Just seen the posts about changing the postage options and it saved!!
Thanks for the help!
