Over the last few weeks, when I get a notification of a sale from Etsy via email and click on the "Purchase Postage Label" it takes me to the platform but has automatically generated two postage labels for purchase. Most times I notice and if I click out and then back into the order, the extra label will disappear on its own. However, if I'm rushed and not paying attention, sometimes I purchase without checking and end up buying two labels. To be clear, this is NOT the situation of the buyer getting more than one item. They are buying only one item, and I have the correct calculated weight and size of the box for that one item. This is some kind of glitch with Etsy's platform.
I wasted a good hour with two humans and one AI bot, trying to convince them that it is a system glitch (or really poor user X design) only to have them try to explain to me how to do calculated shipping, which I've done without issue for the last 5 years. I am more than annoyed. I'm posting here in case anyone else is having the same issue. I can't be the only one.
It's getting busy at Christmas, and I don't have the time or bandwidth to be always alert for that glitch, never mind having to remember to request the postage refund one hour later, and the hassle of having to do that in the first place.
