I have been selling on Etsy for a few years and have never shipped an order late and I ALWAYS include a tracking number.
For some reason Etsy says one of my recent orders did not have tracking information, which is not true, and it has negatively impacted my score for "smooth shipping" for the star seller badge. I downloaded the order history and it says I did not ship something on time even though I went and checked the order in question and the order was placed on Feb 24 and I shipped it on Feb 26 (well within the shipping window I have set) and it does have a tracking number which says it was delivered.
How can this be remedied?
this has happened to me a few times. I just contact etsy through the Live Chat bubble, give them the order number, explain the situation, and they fix it manually. So my advice is, try Live Chat

No I do not use Etsy labels, but I never have and I never had an issue before.
LABELS I do not have a printer, I do not understand how not having Etsy Labels should be a problem - I know Etsy makes money for labels, but I'm not prepared to pay extra for something I am completely capable of doing. Anyone else feel the same way?
@FloressenceStudio: When looking at the CSV file, is the *Tracking/label date* equal to or before the *Ship by* date? (Star Seller data is in UTC not your time zone).
What happens if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order? If it opens the tracking page and shows the scan history then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly. In that case you should pursue it - while Etsy will not manually adjust Star Seller stats they can, in some cases, fix the underlying data and then the Star Seller stats will auto update (but not retroactively).
Keep on mind that the metric is shipping with VERIFIABLE tracking, so a typo or something like a leading or trailing space will be seen as as an invalid tracking number. An unsupported shipping company or invalid / unverified tracking number equals shipped without tracking.
Thank you for your response. I contacted Etsy through the live chat and they confirmed I did have tracking and the tech team will fix the issue.
@FloressenceStudio Contact Etsy Support. Even though I got Star Seller for Shipping for last month, there were two orders on the CSV that had no tracking, but when I looked at the orders, they did have tracking.
I gave the Etsy Support guy the order numbers, he confirmed, and he said he would refer on to have these corrected. He said it would be a couple days.
I have the exact same problem but Etsy support doesn't want to do anything at all, they say the tracking is invalid which is false! I have proof that the follow-ups are perfectly correct. One of the orders has been received and the other is on its way! I find it unfair to penalize sellers for something they are not responsible for!

Thank you! I reached out on the live chat and Etsy confirmed the tracking was attached to the order and the tech team will email me.
@FloressenceStudio But was the item in transit within your processing time frame? If outside even by a minute Etsy considers that item not shipped.
It is not simply having the tracking number. The item must be in transit the same day as shipped. At the very least accepted. Did you get a receipt for the acceptance? IF not and just left the package it is possible your PO did not scan. Hence the item did not receive the scan required to show acceptance.

Hello, this is happening twice to me this month. I tried to contact them, but the guy kept telling me that i added the tracking number late. Which is not true !!! I still have not sorted the issue. There is a bug ! And I don't know how to escalate the issue
I think I'm having the same issue - ALL ORDERS shipped well within the allowed time frame, but I misplaced the info for only ONE order (Car went out for detailing and postal info receipt was gone!) Suddenly I'm at 69% (tracking unavailable for several orders?!?! but this is not so...) for shipping status - totally unhappy with this! And also apparently undeserving of getting anywhere near Star Status - Etsy, where's the communication to me on this?!? I've rave reviews on my products being happily received, packaged well and on time - ALWAYS rave reviews. Getting a little cheesed off at all of this, Etsy. More support for sellers, please. Your success is based on it......
