Etsy Seller App - Moving Photos on Mobile Device

Am I missing something? 

If I upload more than one photo at a time, I cannot reorganize the placement without beating my head against the wall. And even then... I try using my device in desktop mode, but when it comes to moving those images, it seems to revert to the Etsy Seller app and... Gah!

@TalismanToo   I've never used the app (personal preference).  Can you try using a desktop computer instead for this.  Or uninstalling the app and reinstalling it.

I hope someone jumps in for you.

yes, i can use my desktop. but it defeats the purpose of having the app if im not able to perform such a simple task with it.  the previous version of the mobile app didnt have the issue.

So weird how every 'improvement' equals more clicks/faff to do what you used to be able to do with less.

@TalismanToo  Looks like it's  non-functional on the newish blue Seller app.  Tap Listings, find your item.  At the top, tap "LISTING".  Above the pics, "view all".  Then at the top you'll  see "reorder" - then you are supposed to be able to drag/drop- but nope.

The app is half-baked, at best.

OMG....It worked on mine!  I had not noticed the "Reorder" tab...

Sorry it's not working on yours, unless maybe it has been fixed since you last tried.

Lol!  I needed to look up and practice how to do a drag / drop on my Android - it works, you need to double-tap and hold!

Etsy's apps have always had issues.  NEVER have they worked as they should.    Which leads me to ask.......why would a company release something new, without making sure there are no issues??

Changing the order of photos and sales notifications are the only two reasons I will use this awful new app. I work from an iPad and FOR OVER TWO YEARS I have been unable to change the order of photos on the .com and have had to use the app to move any of them. The ridiculous number of steps required to change a thumbnail is enough to make me scream in frustration.

Update: I finally was able to move photos around in the .com’s new listing page format. Now the only thing I need the app for is the cha-ching. So that’s one less hassle….only a million more to go.

Try updating the app. 
I couldn't do it at first either but the "Reorder" option became available after updating it.  It isn't as touch sensitive as the old app.

Try waiting for the images to drop in place and stop spinning before hotting save. I've found it doesn't work properly when I go to fast.  

Other than that I've found it really easy to work with. I create my drafts on the desktop and add the mockups on my phone as for some reason they are easier to create on the phone.
