I was excited to see that Etsy plus had the ability to keep items visible even after they sell out.
It doesn't seem to be working though.
I recently had an item sell out that i had marked for "request restock" and it doesn't show up anywhere in my feed. If i go directly to the item listing link it shows up but its not showing up anywhere else a customer might randomly find it.
I have contacted support and they are supposed to email me but i haven't heard back yet.
Anyone have a similar experience?
When a buyer finds your sold out listing (through a link, or a previous review) when restock requests are turned on, they are shown a button to click to request a restock.
When you then relist it, they get notified.
It does not keep a sold out listing active.
Not sure you understand how the restock feature works. When you restock the item, the potential buyer gets an email if they signed up for it.
No it’s the “restock request” feature through Etsy plus. It shows items that are out of stock but let’s customers request a restock

it doesn’t keep it visible? That seems pointless then?
Active listings won't show as "sold out" ... you have to have actual inventory in stock to have an active listing. Here's more info on Etsy Plus Restock Request
yep. they remove the listing from searches. the only thing good about the pro service is the free money towards ads thats it. all the other feature are broke or absolutely useless like this one is.
