All of a sudden I'm no longer getting notifications of messages from buyers within the seller app nor am I getting emails notifying me of messages received. Yes, I can constantly check the app, but I prefer to provide an immediate response and not a few hours later.
Is anyone else having this issue?
It seems to be working now. I went into notifications within the Etsy Seller app, toggled the notifications for messages OFF then toggled back ON - not sure if that did the trick.

@KeepItSimpleTemplate: "Is anyone else having this issue?" Unfortunately this forum has lots and lots of threads about issues with app and eMail notifications - the problems seeming to be sporadic and only affecting some sellers.
I have had that issue for about 6 months now I've reported it and then they asked all kinds of stupid questions that have nothing to do with not receiving messages. Cuz I know is is a problem because like you I like to be notified right away when I have a message from a customer or a potential customer so I can answer them before they decide to move on to someone else because I'm not able to answer them in a timely manner
So for now I check my Etsy about every 30 minutes all day long which is a nuisance also I have noticed sales have have dropped immensely compared to last year I'm not sure what is going on but it's not good
I have had the issue for easily 6 months.. However--my email does let me know of things.. but Etsy doesn't.. if I am on Etsy I can see I have a message Only by opening messages.. but I don't generally have a number in a orange ? circle telling me it is there. Looking at my dashboard- you would not know there is a message.
I’m not even getting emails notifying of messages. If I was I would be okay since I can have notifications on my email.
I have been having the same issue with the app and messages. It seems to be random. I do get notification of some new messages but not all.
I do have the shopping app installed as well so I get message notifications there too. Once in a while I only get notification on the shopping app but not the sellers app. I generally don't get many messages at all but I do make a point to check at least once a day just in case the app notifications fail.
Unfortunately the app has never been 100% reliable so I simply don't rely on it to work perfectly all the time.
Oh and I don't get the emails about new messages but that's because I disabled that option. Etsy sends enough email.
Ive had the same issue and it dinged me for response time. I had to turn on the email.
No way I let a message sit for 5 days!
I've had the same problem for a couple months. I removed the app and then re-installed it. It didn't help. I gave up.
It seems to be working now. I went into notifications within the Etsy Seller app, toggled the notifications for messages OFF then toggled back ON - not sure if that did the trick.
This has been an ongoing issue for me, and it has affected my Star Seller status. I have never been able receive the notifications for messages (across 3 different phones when using the Seller App).
Everything is turned on on my phone but are not receiving message on phone goes to email 0r spam. How can I fix this
Try turning off notifications for messages in the app and then putting it back on.
This definitely is a handicap to sellers.
Yes, I just recently started having this issue
