I received an order back with "No such number". When I went to research it I discovered Etsy Labels changed the address to a different address from what is on the order receipt!
It was supposed to be: 11020 71st Rd
It was and is still inputting on a new label: 14100 71st Rd
This is a serious glitch!!!
I totally believe you because crazy things happen on etsy.
I literally just went back and clicked thought my recent orders and pulled up all the shipping label info to make sure it matched LOL. Luckily for the past 2 days I didn't see any discrepencies.
Most of the time when I print labels I don't double check that the address is correct because I just assume it is what the buyer put in if I didn't change anything. I think now I may be more careful and look it over.
I guess I should have reworded that. I knew it wasn’t the same glitch but wondered if it was a part of the reason yours was in error as well.
Hope it’s cleared up soon.
@cindylouwho2 Thanks for chiming in, I was just going to send this to you as @InspiredAndGifted had the same issue!
@TheLonelyHeartCo please come back to tell us what you find out. I suspect it maybe due to the Buyer paying with their PayPal, and the wrong address is on their PP account - as @ArtDollsbyJD mentioned.
@PillowDetails: In the past at least, our experience with the PayPal address replacing what the buyer selected on Etsy was that the PayPal address was the one which was reflected on the actual order.
And even if that is the issue, Etsy should be pre-filling labels with the shipping data on the order, regardless of if it is correct or not.
I can totally understand @TheLonelyHeartCo 's concern that the data is not the same in both places. That is the real problem.
@TheLonelyHeartCo it might be a good idea to pin the post by @BagmakerSupply as it may cut down on the confused replies?
For those folks still not getting it:
@BagmakerSupply That is it exactly, thank you!
If the customer gets back to me, I will still ask though. Who knows a glitch is a glitch & we all know some are very hard for Etsy to replicate. If they can't replicate it, it can't be fixed! At least they could see mine. I know another seller had it happen. So unfortunately it's not probably the last we'll see of it.
