Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any experience on this.
I created a listing yesterday with this title:
2 Carat Moissanite Solitaire Sterling Silver Ring | Breathtaking Minimal Hand Made Gift For Her | Round Brilliant Flawless Cut
Etsy has flagged this as a potential counterfeit or unauthorised item.
Of course it is neither and I am quite annoyed.
Has anyone had this happen to them before?
Does it go away by itself?
Thank you for any help in advance!
It sucks to get these, but keep in in context. It's a review. Not an indictment. Yes, many sellers have received this message, including me. My listing was put back up the next day, but it can take up to 10 business days.
Hope this helps.

Thank you! Appreciate your insight and hoping for the same.
Maybe add a video of you making the items?
I can see Etsy's concern...as there are quite a few rings online that look just like yours. Even other Etsy shops are selling the same ring.
If you did not handmake the ring yourself or design it and have help from a production partner a caster etc., it would be an unauthorized item. If you did handmake it yourself you need to reach out to Etsy with your proof. Handmade means handmade by you. Etsy does make removal errors. If you go through the help/contact link on your dashboard you will find a place to email them.
This was a bot deactivation, and they do make mistakes. If others are selling the same ring as @Jewels2at states, then it is assuming you are reselling. If others are selling this, and using your photo, then you have a problem...IP theft. You will need to file DMCA take down notices with those other shops to protect your photo. Otherwise, this will continue to happen.
The way you have your shop set up, including your story in the About section, makes you look like a reseller. Add pictures of your workshop, the machines you use, even the setup containing all your supplies that go into you handmaking the jewelry. You can send those pictures along with the video of you making the jewelry for Etsy to consider and maybe that will help.
The ring listing that is deactivated - is this the ring to go with the 2ct silver clover pendant?
The eternal sunflower ring - no it's a seperate product.
Photos in the about page would help to show you making the items. Even a brief look at your workshop.
Etsy may be wondering because your shop mentions family business but there are no listings for those family members in the about page.
And there has been conflict noted over using the word diamond with mossainite. It is not a diamond, it is a diamond alternative so would be better to remove the word diamond. Another seller got caught with this and it was a hassle for them. That may be why Etsy thinks it is counterfeit. Give them a chance to review and they may return it
Thank you everyone you taking the time to comment, it really does mean a lot! The annoying thing is my photos are originals that I took a few days ago, so I don't know how anyone else could be using my photos or reporting me for using theirs!
In terms of the hand making process - it's sort of complicated. We use production partners based overseas. I send CAD designs and 3D renders that they use to manafactur the items using a machine based process. I do believe this is allowed but it's not me painstakingly putting together the peices by hand.
They've started taking down more of my items but I hope they'll realise their mistake soon enough. If not, I guess I'll just have to rely on my website instead
Thank you once again everyone - have a wonderful weekend.
You are absolutely beautiful!
You are responding on various threads just to tell posters they are beautiful. Inappropriate. Keep your comments focused on the topic.
@ElleAdoreUK The design of the clover leaf pendant looks very similar to the iconic clover leaf pendant of a world famous jewelry brand. Very dangerous. There are a handful of jewelry designs in the world that are better left untouched for your own good. This clover is one of them for sure.
counterfeit - maybe the moissanite, which is selling at impossibly low prices, unless you can get some incredible deals, there, in UK. I had no idea how rampant this is, as I don't go out in the search, but usually an 8mm moissanite would be quite expensive. Have you tested it?
also, morganite is very expensive usually.
Thank you for your comments @2TrickPony . The moissanite is legitamate, bought from overseas, fully certified with GRA identification numbers engraved into the stones, diamond tested and thoroughly checked. So no concerns there.
I have had further emails from Etsy claiming I am breaking their hand made policy. So @Somethinks2Design appreciate your comments on my Clover necklace, but it's not that.
I think I need to add my production partners and then I'll be good to get them reinstated.
Once again thank you everyone
