Etsy Community -- Not getting email notifications when someone replies to my posts

@StickIt2M  , Why not just pop into the forums and check your notifications at the top right of the page. It shows if you have any responses to your posts. You might have to refresh the page sometimes but otherwise it works.

To shut them off, go to your Profile Picture and select My Settings. Under Personal>Email, click the box that say Don't Send me any community emails.

I see settings here and there, but changing them seemingly makes no difference.

Sounds like you're having the same issue in reverse.

Oh well... not that important.

Does someone have to @ you to get a notification?  If so not everyone does that. ETA I just looked. I have emails turned off (no surprise) but there seems to be a plethora of things you can choose to be notified for.

I've been @ed several times... no noties.

I've toggled every relevant setting I can find; No effect.

No - when I first started commenting in here it was defaulted so that every time there was any notification, I got an email, didn't need to be tagged. I figured out how to turn that off real quick. But I think the system glitches on some accounts sometimes. Like how I can't @ anyone (except when I just copy and paste where someone else has already done it). And we checked, my settings are exactly the same as people that have the ability. So the OP may have a glitch within their account that is preventing them from getting the emails. Or, their email is filtering them out. OP- have you checked they're not actually in your spam folder?

Not sure what the difference is, but in the actual tags I've noticed there is a period right before the @ symbol.

I remember when the Forum changed over to Lithium. And I wasn't sure what settings to click to receive this or that. Back then I started getting emails for practically everything. So I went in and un-checked some boxes, and it was better; I wasn't as bombarded.
I also found that I could "at" some posters but not others, for some reason. With some, as I typed the "at" symbol and the start of their Name, I get the drop down menu to select them. With others, there is no drop down, so I scroll up in order to type their name. Then it turns into a link. I like it when people "at" me, because there have been times when much later, I see someone posted to me, but I never saw that post because they didn't "at" me (so there was not a Number above the Notification Bell). Then it looks like I was rude and didn't acknowledge them (if it required a Response, for example). So I can understand why you would want an email Notification in cases like this.  But as I said, I un-checked mine a long time ago, because I was getting way too many.

Let me go look again at my Setting, and see if I can spot something which is now un-checked, and if it were checked it would pertain to receiving email Notifications.

I think I found it in my Settings. Click on Avatar (top Right of page) > Subscriptions:

- Personal > Email > Email Settings: *Don't send me any community emails (I have this checked).

Same here regarding "at."

And 'zactly... when folks reply to something I said, I'd like to know about it asap.

In general, I find email quite useful to that end for all manner of online doings. It'd be nice if it worked here too.

I checked it, then unchecked it, thinking perhaps something might get 'jostled' loose... no effect.

Sometimes my Etsy Community notification e-mails fall into the "primary" tab, sometimes they go into the "social" tab - there seems to be no rhyme or reason where they fall (gmail).

I'm using my ISP's email platform. All things related to Etsy go to an 'Etsy folder' nested in my inbox. Nothing's getting spammed.

As mentioned by another, it's a glitch. I'll figure something out eventually.

I'm well aware of that (forum notification page).

That said, the functionality of receiving notifications via email is clearly something that's supposed to be available.

I'd rather have it that way.
