Scam!
This is a scam, send the message to spam. Never click on a link like this one. Etsy knows your name and surname. Any communications directly to you from Etsy will show up on your message page in the Shop Manager in the folder marked "From Etsy."
If you ever need to reach Etsy directly, try this link:
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_sell_manage_listings-callback
Thank you so much.
I thought so but wasn't really sure.Thank you for the feedback.
SCAM!!!!!!
Put it straight in the spam folder. Etsy never asks you for information in order to release funds from a sale, they already have that information from when you set up your shop. If you check your shop dashboard you will see there is no corresponding sale.
Unfortunately, a lot of sellers get these. All scam. Make sure to mark it as spam. Etsy will not send you email like that ever.
Yes. I did go and check my dashboard and didn't see anything there. Thank you so much.
SCAM! When you get an order, you see it on your order page.
You never have to do anything to confirm an order by providing your bank/cc info, your identity, how many items sold, a selfie, your email and the list goes on.
This should have been the 1st clue it was NOT from Etsy
"Hello, warmest greetings from Etsy technical support"
2nd clue if it was from Etsy the message would be in the FROM ETSY section.
If it's not there, then it's not from Etsy.
There's plenty of info on the help pages about getting paid here.
A MUST read for any new seller before they ever open a shop.
If Etsy ever needs you to update anything, you'll see a notice on your dashboard and/or finance page.
Sorry you were hit by a scammer, whilst your reading up on scams, you also need to read up on this

They probably targetted you, as they see that you are selling things not allowed here
if you are selling barbie and starbucks, and the mouse, they are either not handmade, or illegal counterfeits
The exact same thing happened to me too! Thanks for posting and sharing. I didn't realise it was a scam
