Can someone tell me why my message don’t appear and why did Etsy take 55$ when they sent me to verify my bank account?
Sounds like you have been scammed. Etsy deposits money when verifying your bank account - they don't take money.
But I found the message on my app and on my email , which is theirs for sure
Without more info, my first guess is that it is a scam.
I don’t think so cuz it’s their main email that sent me
Do you mean the email you received from etsy telling you that you have received a message on etsy and then a copy of the message? That will show as from etsy because it's just forwarding the message to your email. That's normal unless you have disabled that messaging sent to email notification option. It will be from conversations @ mail dot etsy dot com
So if you have that setting/option enabled you will get an email from etsy every time you get a message on etsy. That does not mean the message on etsy is not from a scammer it just means etsy is forwarding a message you received on etsys messaging system to your email.
The scams look pretty convincing. Any true message from etsy will be in the "from etsy" section of your inbox. And etsy would NEVER take money from you to "verify" your account. When etsy contacts your for financial info, it will be on your dashboard.
Believe us that this is a scam. Contact your bank or credit card to report fraud.
So why doesn’t t my app show me my messages from people who wanna buy? I get on top with red “there was a problem loading these convos”
@IcAminArt: If you search this forum you will see that there are all sorts of issues with the app.
Real messages from Etsy are now going into their own section on your Messages page https://community.etsy.com/t5/Announcements/New-From-Etsy-section-in-Messages/m-p/143722497#M1899 but apparently this is only true when using a browser, even your mobile browser. The eMail you are referring to is probably just the eMail copy of an Etsy Message.
The consensus is that a seller needs to check their shop for messages and orders at least daily via a browser until these app issues are resolved.
Go to the Etsy website using a browser, log in there and check your messages. Only genuine messages from Etsy will appear in a folder called 'from Etsy'. If you have given your bank/card details to a scammer please contact your bank immediately.
I think they received a “I want to buy your product” message. I got one of those from “Karen”. They look very legitimate if you’re not aware of the scam attempts using this wording or something similar. They are not in the “From Etsy” folder…it just came through as a regular message.
I replied…just in case…asking if they had a question and that I can not assist with financial transaction details. POOF! Big red notice that the message cannot be sent. Etsy had already caught that and deleted the account.
