Error 249 on links from Instagram Phone App

I have just posted stories with links to my listings but when we click on the link we get the 429 error message. This is really terrible! I can't really clear the cache from my phone/instagram app. And can't really expect my clients to do it either so that they can se my adds, that's ridiculous. What to do?

Are you sure that the link you are putting in your stories is formatted correctly?

it's the link to the listing on the shop. pretty straight forward. just opened the listing copy/pasted the link.

Shared links should only be https://www.etsy.com/listing/[LISTING_NUMBER]

so tried again, clicking the same links in my stories but this time with my VPN *off*.

it worked.

SHAME ON YOU, ETSY. what a crappy way to do business and relate to user's privacy.
