I replied to 21/22 messages within 24 hours in the last Star Seller cycle.
8 of them aren't showing on the message stats CSV, making our score below 95% (June 1–August 31, 2022), and not the correct percent of above 95% since all 8 emails were responded to instantly.
If the time period that they are basing the star seller on is said to be June 1st - August 31st, shouldn't the emails from August 29th, 30th, and 31st be included in the scoring? And if it's not, maybe change the dates to May 27th - August 28th.
They should be counted, but they're often not. It's been that way since the beginning, unfortunately.
The last two days are problematic and not included in the month for the 1st of the month rewarding.
@GoThinkLink : The Star Seller metric is that the FIRST message of a NEW thread must be replied to (or marked as spam) within 24 hours. Subsequent messages from the same account (a buyer may have multiple accounts) are supposed to be combined into a single thread. As best as we can tell, the CSV file only includes the first message of a new thread because that is all that is counted.
You are completely correct. It's only the first email sent that is counted. The 8 emails I'm talking about are 8 new threads all from different people
@GoThinkLink : The messages do not seem to be considered until after the 24 hour reply window has closed even if you replied right away. So a message sent 12:00 noon on the last day of the month could not be late until noon of the first day of the following month. And you have to factor in time zone differences - It seems that Etsy uses UTC for most things, but many "reports" are displayed to you based on your time zone. August 31 to you may be September 1 to Etsy. Secondly, looking at other posts in this forum it seems that the last few days of a month routinely get rolled into the next month when doing Star Seller calculations. And you do mean messages (convos) not eMails correct?
This is all so confusing on the Messages. Apparently, it is still malfunctioning. I missed one email, sent me to 94% and the target is 95%. So, it says: For September, Not There Yet. But, I still got the Badge this month. Stranger things have happened.
@MOMandNoPOPStore : eMails don't count only Etsy messages, and then only the first message of a new THREAD. The September star is for June, July, and August. The current stats on the dashboard are for the October star (July, August. September).
Do I like the system? No! But it works exactly the way they said it would on day one. Etsy said it would take 24 to 48 hours to update, which in Etsy speak is probably 36 to 60 hours allowing for different time zones and days etc., so why is anyone surprised the last 2 or 3 days of the month aren't included?
