I got an order for one wine glass from someone in the UK. The next day I got 2 more identical orders from the same person. I contacted her and asked if she wanted 3 glasses or if the other orders where duplicate orders. She responded and said she only wanted the 1 glass. Right after she responded I received another order for a glass from her. I’m not sure what’s going on. I plan to refund her the duplicate orders but will I be charged transaction fees by Etsy for the duplicate orders? Has this happened to anyone else?
As mentioned, Cancel & Refund the orders. Do not just refund.
Off topic but do finish setting up your shop - add policies. This is becoming very important for shop owners, should they ever need to use Etsy's seller protections. Also since you are selling to the UK/EU you will need to be sure your policies are compliant with their ecommerce rules:
