Hi, I've noticed that whenever I add new listings my sales plummet, all this week I've been getting between 12-20 sales a day, today I've added some new listings & I've had 2 sales today
Onesie is trademarked. You are in the UK, but do not accept returns. Do you use a POD production partner? If so, it must be disclosed. Any of this could be the issue.
I'm not sure when you mean? I haven't used the term onesie, I don't accept returns on personalized products as per my policies and I do t use pod
@CottonandTwigg When I checked, there were several items tagged "onesie". Now this tag has gone. You can type in any keyword or keyword phrase in your shop search (storefront page or the Listings folder in your Shop Manager). Very convenient.
If many of your sales are to the US, it might be because of the 3-day holiday weekend. Or sense of impending doom.
I should have said, I only sell in the UK
"I haven't used the term onesie,"
You have 7 listings where you use the term "onesie" somewhere
Do a search within your shop to find them
I will look into that, thank you. I definitely haven't used this term for any of the new listings that I've listed
You were right! Thanks again, I didn't actually know you could search for tags! Phew! Changed them ☺️
I tend to see an increase in views and orders after adding new listings. It's not immediate ... e.g. a few days where I focus on adding listings ... and a few days later an increase in views and sales. But for every 'pattern' I notice on Etsy, I can also find an exception. A day with unusually high views but no sales, or a day with unusually low views and sales.
That's interesting, thanks I'll keep an eye on it
If you are relying on internal Etsy traffic, the algorithm has to evaluate each new listing and its effect on your shop. While this won't necessarily hurt you, adding things all at once would increase the risk.
If you are making these in house, remember that the lead photo must be the actual item for sale, not a digital mockup. If you are using a production partner, remember that you must declare them in your shop. Both of these things are part of Etsy's algorithm now.
