Don't have a 2 steps identification when I log in to ETSY on my computer

Jump to solution

Hi! I used to have a 2 steps identification when I logged  in to ETSY on my computer, but it doesn't work anymore. I just use my password to log in, I don't receive any code on my phone anymore. I logged out from my phone and logged in again and I got a code to log in. So it works on my phone. I also tried logging in on my computer while I was logged out from my phone, so it's not because I'm logged in on my phone.

Does anyone experience something similar or it's only me?

@AdivaJewels: Etsy has never required two factor authorization (2FA) on every log in. "With two-factor authentication, you’re required to enter your password and a verification code when: you sign in using a different browser or on a new device; and every 30 days." Other factors may trigger the requirement for 2FA more often. https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015569567-How-to-Make-Your-Account-More-Secure

You might be required to use 2FA if you clear your cookies and cache files. I get the 2FA code every time because those files are cleared whenever I close my browser.
