USA tax

Hi everyone, 

Not sure if this is a bug or something to do with the new USA tariffs 

I have just received an order from the USA I'm in the UK and there was no sales tax on the order like there usually is. 

My question is ......

1, will this come back on me and the customer expect me to pay this?

2, will the customer be charged tax when they pick their order up from the sorting office?

3, has sale tax been abolished completely to be in line with the new tariff system? (to which I was under the impression it was just Canada and Mexico at the moment)

Not all US states have sales tax. Some states with sales tax have items that are exempt from sales tax. Nothing to do with tariffs.

didnt know this, I think I noticed it more because the customer asked for a quote with shipping and sales tax. I just asked her to add to the basket as etsy does all of that for you.

Was it Oregon? There usually isn't a sales tax on those

US tariffs on China, Canada and Mexico haven't gone into effect yet. There are no announced tariffs on the UK.
