Can anyone tell me how to disable the Production Partner mode? I am a one person shop and no one makes things for me to sell. Every time I try to list and item and the date it was made is after 2003, I get dinged for adding a production partner. Most of the items I am selling in my second shop are from thrift stores, second hand shops, antique stores and estate sales. I also have items that I have made myself. I do not want to mislead people by listing an incorrect date just because I want to avoid the Production Partner error. I read the instructions on the page and it said to click an X in the right hand corner but it does not work. I do not want to use a production partner for any of my listings. Has anyone else had this issue? Please help!
You cannot sell those things here. That is why you can't over ride it. It has to be 20 years old or older to be vintage , be a craft supply or be handmade or designed by you (and made by a production partner). Not an error.
OMG! Thank you so much. I could have really messed up. I checked all my listings and they are ok age wise and I changed up some language in my shop info. I am glad I asked the question because I might have violated a rule. So if I find an item at a estate sale or another shop and verify it is over 20 years old, can I still sell it?? I checked my items that I have for sale now with an antique dealer as well as looked them up to obtain the approximate age. I just started this second shop. I saw other people selling second hand items so I thought I would try it. Thank you!

There are a lot of people selling "new" finds on etsy. See it all the time.
@RegalSkyBoutique yes there are. They are most likely in violation of the seller policies and risk having their shop permanently suspended.
Are you sure they aren't craft supplies perhaps?

@PamelasTreasureCove Don't forget that you have to reveal that you have another shop in both shops. That can get you shut down.
I have done this.
Did you ever get an answer to this question because I have the same problem. It's driving me bats.
If you are selling it in the vintage category (secondhand, so to speak) it MUST be over 20 years old to be sold on Etsy. IF you find people doing otherwise they are cheating in some way and somehow sidestepping the Etsy TOU. IF you are successful in following in their footsteps you risk having your shop permanently closed by Etsy and you cannot open another--ever. So best to play by the rules.
Even if I knew how I would not give advice on how to break Etsy rules.
If the items are handmade (by YOU) or are craft suoplies you can list new items in those categories.
ETA: Did YOU handmake that flower brooch? If not you cannot list it as handmade as per Etsy TOU.
