Digital editadible files

Hell, can anyone help with anise I have with my digital files. 

I have created an ebook in Canva, then used pdfescape to ad editable areas for text and tick boxes, which proves to be a success, I can edit the pdf once I have downloaded it, so that is fine. But when I add the file to Etsy as a purchase for customers to be able to 'edit' their journal it doesn't work! 

Any ideas would be helpful.

You can edit the pdf because you have an editable pdf installed (pdfescape).

The buyer requires software to be able to edit the pdf. If they use a browser to open files, or regular free adobe, they won't be able to edit the file.
