They cannot download from the Etsy App. It has to be a laptop or desktop. I am not sure if phone browsers support downloads from Etsy.
If you go to a browser on your phone, it'll just loop you back to your app.
All day, every day for months. I have this as a snippet and I send this first, trying to teach the buyer how to help themselves in case they make future digital download purchases. Digital downloads must be downloaded through a web browser and not the mobile app. I am finding that an actual computer browser works best, but other people are reporting that they are able to access the files from a web browser on their mobile devices too. I have not found this approach to work, because in most cases your device will just reopen the app and it sends you in a loop without ever locating the download.
Here is a step by step explanation of how to download your files from a computer web browser. You do not have to have received the automated email from Etsy to access download.
- Log into Etsy via a web browser on your computer.
- From your home page, select the tab on the upper right next to the shopping cart that reads "Your Account"
- Click on "Purchases and Reviews" from the menu.
- Scroll down the page to the receipt for the order and on the right you'll see a black button called "Download Files".
- Click that and the next page will have a download button for the file.
- Save it to a convenient folder for you to get to.
If you're still unable to access the download, please provide an email address and I will send it myself. Sometimes that's just easier.
