You will have to contact Etsy directly
@MinimalDesignBabe: This is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).
You can open a support ticket through Dashboard > Community & Help > Contact Us
"If a member has already begun to set up a shop but their shop isn't open to the public yet, the promotion cannot apply. The recommended account must be a buyer-only account before the code can be redeemed."
"Please keep in mind that the people you refer need to open their shop directly from your referral link in order for you both to receive free listings. If someone navigates away from the link or switches browsers, this new shop will not be registered as coming directly from your invite."

This ^^^
She had to open a shop account directly from the referral email.
Everything has to be set up JUST RIGHT when she opens her shop for both of you to get your free listings. If you missed a step, or clicked on the wrong link, it won't work.

Hi, I also have the same problem. I received an email that says I have free 40 listing but I didn't get it. I asked them they said that it's because of the country but I was able to get free listings in my other shop with the same location. I also got free listings at first yet now they wont give it.
same here I receive the email but there are NO free listings on my account!!
Hello,I have the same issue. Did you received the 40 free listings? If yes, after how many days from opening the account? Thank you!
@IANASense If you opened your shop correctly thru the link, you still pay the 20 cents for the first listing, to actually open the shop. You have that.
Now, when you go to Shop Manager - Listings, in the upper right (on a computer/laptop) it should show your listing credits.
Welcome, and good luck!
I just started my shop today and I found my free listings by following the post by PillowDetails. Hopefully you get yours too.
my issue is fixed, my friend live chat with etsy and shared the referral link to etsy live support
Where can I chat the ETsy Support? Can I have a link, if possible? Thanks a lot
Hi, I ddin't get mine as well. Where can I contact Etsy about it? Thanks
Hi, here is the link https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new#issue_sell_manage_listings-solution_primary and at the bottom, select "I still need help" Good luck!
I already contact Etsy for the same thing for my 15 listing free I didn’t receive with Etsy premium and they say to me that it looked like they charged in the fees but at the end of the month it is calculated
Hi Guys, I just reached out via link. Had the same problem. I hope thy can fix it. I will tell you how it went. Good luck all
Hi!
so apparently I have been in contact with Etsy for a week, going back and forth. I have been contacted several people, and no ONE single person could explain as to WHY I didn't get the free listings. It just makes no sense.
so my story goes, a friend of mine used the link, did everything he had to. He got 40 free listings, I only got an email that said congrats, BOTH of you get 40 listings free.
Keep in mind we both live in the same town! So what am I to do, I asked for help, and I got these lines:
"There are some requirements to receive free listings after sending an invitation link. Once more we provide an apologize for the confusion for the information received in the automated email of free listings. For countries that are not applicable to this offer: While you are able to share your code out to friends, the credits will not apply to your own shop. It will only apply to the shop of the person you invited."
"Essentially *my name*, There is no public list of countries that are eligible for the Referral program and At this time, the credits offered in this particular Referral Program are only available in certain countries."
Therefore, I'm sitting here trying desperately to refer Etsy to someone, and as an appreciation, Etsy gives credit who signed up (living in the same country as me!!!) but not for the ones who refer.
Also, in Etsy house rules it says:
"You can receive free listings if you invite someone to become a seller on Etsy and they complete the process of opening a new shop."
So a week later I'm even more confused than I was.
Why are you selling the Etsy free listing code when you know it does not work?
@CryzalisDesigns Is that even allowed to create a listing with the code? Even if it’s not actually for sale? I’m thinking this goes against policy.
I'm confused too. I joined with a referral code from someone and I don't think I got those free listing that THEY say you get. Now after reading this.. I'm not surprised. It's being advertised by affiliate marketers everywhere on YouTube..and I haven't heard one person say if you join I get free listing's.. they say we get them. I'll be looking into this further. It seems like Etsy are okay with people selling lies to get people joining.. which makes me not want to be on Etsy. I feel that I'm totally being ripped off.
no it is not @SunnytyDE all listings should be for sale
