Hello,
A few weeks ago, I have tried to edit my TAX PAYER NAME, because I was having trouble when confirming my bank account and I thought that there was a problem with the name (I have a second name and I have registered only with my first name). I uploaded my ID card and I have received the following message: It looks like we couldn’t verify the recent update you made to your primary taxpayer name, so you still can’t receive funds from your sales. To get paid, you’ll need to upload a legal document (like a government-issued ID) confirming your new name — this helps us keep our community safe. If you can’t verify your name, we’ll need to cancel your pending sales and put your shop on pause via Vacation Mode.
I tried several times to upload my ID card, the one that I used when I created my account, and it's already verified, but I kept receiving the same message; the document is clear, valid...it is the exact same copy I have already used and was already verified. I am in PENDING VERIFICATION mode for the last two weeks and I have 46 more days until my shop will enter in vacation mode.
I am an individual seller and just made my first sale in February.
Please, can someone help me with this?
My understanding is that all your verification documents need to match ... e.g. name needs to match the name on your bank account, your ID, the name you used to set up your Etsy account and any other names that might be in play, e.g. Payoneer, PayPal, etc.
Yes, they do match, my bank account has been verified, tax payer ID, address...it is the same document I have used in the first place. My name is Popovici Mihai Mircea and at the beginning I have registered my taxpayer name as as Popovici Mihai. When I had trouble verifying my bank account, I thought that this might be the reason (the bank account is registered on my full name), so I tried to edit my taxpayer name in order to match the name on my bank account. Meanwhile my bank account has been verified and accepted by Etsy, but I remained stuck in this loop with name verification.
