I just noticed this today, since changing my shipping from "other" to USPS international, my delivery times on all of my items are showing a 4 month window. My sales have been extremely down this month and I'm wondering if this has an affect on why.
Is this a current bug? Is anyone else showing the same time frame? The longest shipping timeframe is usually Australia and with the shipping service I use (not USPS, but Etsy said pick the closest option when they got rid of "other") is 3 weeks at most, so this is showing extremely incorrect shipping times.
Any one else seeing this same issue and any thoughts on how to correct it?
Interesting to see this. Usually Etsy has delivery times on international orders that are much too optimistic, given possible customs delays. Maybe they are trying to correct that, and now have gone overboard the other direction (though 4 months is sometimes very accurate!)
i think i figured it out. it seems like it was only Canada that it was showing the super long delivery times which I'm not sure why as I chose USPS priority international which is 3-5 business days. I changed it to a Fedex option that was of similar times and it seems to have corrected it. We just tested all the international ones I usually ship to and they seemed within the normal time frame. So bizarre.
I've had a few packages get suck in customs for well over a month going from the US to Canada, so, it's not unheard of. I ship USPS Priority Mail International, too, but every now and then, one gets stuck. Maybe Etsy or USPS is allowing for that?
I am in Australia. I just looked at some earrings in your shop and it showed "Order today to get by Dec 8 - Jan 10", which seems like a good timeframe.
thank you so much for checking that! I appreciate it!
I think it's been fixed...hopefully!
The only time I would get crazy funky times like that would be when I selected international ground mail (which I now banned LOLZ).
Probably because Etsy is guaranteeing that packages will be delivered on time. Most foreign shipping can take a month this time of year, and Spain and Italy routinely take 3 months. Often it can take longer. They are probably wishing they hadn't promised that and are trying to cover their arses.
