I just received a message from a buyer who told me that Etsy estimated their order to arrive in April of 2023. She was obviously concerned and asked me to clarify, in which case I reassured her that was COMPLETELY inaccurate. Luckily she was a lovely, patient person and happy once I explained.
I know sales are down for everyone this year, but it's been absolutely bleak in my shop recently and I can't help but wonder if customers have decided not to order from me because they are getting insanely long "estimated delivery" dates in error. I know I would immediately go elsewhere if a jewelry shop had a turn around of 4 months.
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm rechecking all of my shipping profiles and processing times today to make sure Etsy didn't change something without my knowledge. Keeping my fingers crossed that this isn't an error that ALL my holiday shoppers are seeing. *facepalm*
Haha! Only on Etsy!
Seriously, it's awful. I will check your listings to see what it says to me.
I looked at several listings and they all say "Ready to ship in 2-3 weeks."
Thank you for looking into it! I'm very glad to hear it looks normal on your end!
I checked six of your listings, and I'm seeing a two week turn around time, and normal delivery date estimate.
Thank goodness! Thank you for checking, I really appreciate it.
maybe with royal mail and there constant strikes, should advise 2024
I'm a US seller, and this customer was not from Europe, but that's unfortunate either way!
I am also having this issue and am constantly having to explain to my customers that I am shipping within 3 business days. Many of my customers message me angry after Etsy sends them a "now arriving XX/XX - XX/XX". My shipping profiles are accurate. I've even deleted the profiles and re-created new ones. My production times are accurate. I'm not sure what the problem is, but it is seriously problematic at this point.
OMG!!! This is BEYOND ridiculous!
Etsy showing buyers an estimated delivery time of December 22 for orders received today after 5:00 USPS priority. Buyers messaging me to confirm! Ughhhhhhh
