Dashboard order notification

I brought up the new orange to grey order notification on the dashboard recently.  The response was it will change from orange to grey once the new order is reviewed. Which it what I experienced until this week.

My last two new order notification have appeared on my dashboard as grey... no orange. Both times I left my laptop with my seller page open to active listings. Upon my return I click on the dashboard icon to my check activity & the order icon shows a grey button. At no point did I switch to orders or completed listings.  So there is something off.. It should stay orange until I actually check my order page.

I notice if you look at the order, the color changes.

I understand that and that is what used to happen.

What's happening now is the color changes without me ever looking at the order page.

I don't even know the order came in. The last 2 orders never showed orange on my dashboard only grey. 

This is the chain of events both times.

1. My listing page was open. No orange dot on the order icon.

2, I switched to my shop manager page and there is a grey dot on the order icon. but there is no evidence of an order. The order hasn't registered, no sales, no revenue amount. 

3. I switch to the order page and the order is there waiting. 

4. I switch back to the shop manager page and the order & revenue are now there. 

The point is the orange dot never appeared.
