Has anyone else experienced this?
Customers from Germany and France can't shop with me.
I did not disable the EU due to GPSR, and I do have a LUCID number.
Under what category can I contact support to have this checked out?
There used to be a chat button, but I can't find it anywhere.
If anyone here is willing to help me test this, I’d really appreciate it!

Hello,
I'm French, based in Paris, France.
I did a test adding "Rose Gold-filled wire" to my shopping cart; everything is fine.
I can see the total with shipping to France and the button to process the payment.
I should ask what the exact problems are for people who can't order from France and Germany?

EDIT:

@CraftyCornishMaids is right.
By adding another item, I saw a message appearing (on a yellow background) which says:
"Keep in mind: Due to VAT laws in France, orders over €150 total from shops outside the EU can't be shipped to your region right now."
So French and German buyers cant order over €150, in your shop.
I changed settings to Germany, and added to basket, and chose both paypal and card - it all looks fine
For France, because of their platform rules, they will not be able to buy anything over 150 euros from you (or anyone outside of the EU)
.... make sure you pay for an eu economic operator, and enter there info here, for safety info ... it's the new eu money spinner ....

Thanks for your quick reply and kind assistance ! so it has become mandatory to to add the GPSR ? if it's not added clients from EU won't be able to shop on my shop ? like with the LUCID ?
It is mandatory to pay for an eu representative, and do all your GPSR compliance, in all eu languages - the fine for non compliance is 200,000 euros
You can switch off selling to all GSPR countries here

scroll down until you get to gpsr

French citizens cannot purchase anything from outside France that exceeds 150 Euros?
Can they purchase over that amount from other EU countries?
Is France the only EU country with this requirement?
They can't purchase from platforms
as the French authorities want etys IOSS number, and the sellers IOSS number in the electronic barcode, AND they want one or the other to collect VAT on the higher amount too.
No-ones postal systems, or platforms, are set to do this,
They can't by from Amazon outside the EU either
as far as I know, it's just France that have the crazy laws no-one can comply with
The eu are saying they will bring in VAT collection by platforms for everything, not just 150 euros , at a future date, but they will just require the platforms to do it, on their IOSS number
What problems are your French and German buyers having exactly? Are they getting an error message or are they simply not finding your shop in the first place?
Thanks, she says that when she click the product she gets an alert saying :"the item is not available in your region"
where is "she" from?
I'm from Germany, and I can put an item from your shop into my cart with no problem.
to your question, she is from Germany, but currently in France. She is a returning customer from 2021, I shipped to her to Germany back then.

Thanks ! OMG ! the world has gone crazy
The 150 euros rule is not for Germany as far as I know, it is only in France and yes, it will cost me a handful of customers per year because I did sell the odd more expensive item to France in the past.
I wasn’t aware of that new limit, but now it makes sense why some customers split their orders into two. I thought it was because exceeding the €150 threshold meant they will have to pay VAT upon delivery rather than at the time of purchase.
I just put your most expensive item in my cart and stopped the payment process when I was asked to log into PP.
No problem.
From Germany.
Thanks ! I appreciate you taking the time to test this
@Yoola In the future there are two places to always look for updates > the Announcements in the forums and articles in the > Seller Handbook.
From what I read a few years ago, many French people were ordering from outside the EU, and when they received their orders, they didn't want to pay the customs fees, so the post office had too many parcels to manage and was unable to return and manage all these parcels refused on arrival on French soil. It seems to me that this is why it is no longer possible to order products over 150 euros on certain platforms.
Unfortunately, thanks to some of my compatriots who understand nothing about international trade and who buy in droves from Chinese platforms, we're all being “punished”.
Instead of informing people properly, we're banning it for everyone....
After all, people should also look for this information themselves, but that's too complicated!
This is wrong
The postal service has decided the platforms have to collect VAT too, over 150 euros, and they require the seller to be IOSS registered as well as the platform
