Customer getting error messages when trying to checkout

A customer is trying to make a purchase but keeps getting a Message:”429 too many requests is the error”

can someone look into this?

This might be a scam.  If they ask you to give them your email address, or to allow them to purchase the item through another venue, or anything else that is not the normal way Etsy works, it’s likely a scam.  I have seen several posts over the past few days by sellers getting scammed.  Also Etsy has warned us about an uptick in scammers.

I was able to put one of your items into my cart and “proceed to checkout” just fine, so I don’t know that this is a serious problem.

If they're actually getting that error, they should clear their cookies or try a different browser. I've had that happen before.

@treasures570: The ”429 too many requests is the error” can be caused by many things, but one relatively common reason is an IP address that has been blocked, Etsy returns that error when they block a VPN for example.
