I have a custom who is trying to purchase one of my items. She chooses the options in the listing and adds to the cart. The cart gives an error that says "Choose Options" Add Options with the option to remove or click a button that says choose options. Click choose options they come up and you can select again but the error remains in the cart and the person can't check out.
I have replicated the problem. Seems to work fine on desktop and does what she experienced on mobile.

Anyone have any idea why?? I do use Vela to edit, however, on Etsy everything looks fine in the edit listings. I even went into the item like I was going to edit the variations and re-saved but it didn't fix the problem.
Ideas??
This has been reported a lot. She needs to purchase through a browser, not the app. (Doesn't need to be on desktop.)
It's not because of anything you've done. There's some glitch in the app regarding selecting variations.
Thanks - did some more editing and it appears it was because I had too long of a title on the second description.
It had said "Make the top Interchangeable? (see photos) changed to "Top Interchangeable" and now no error. May have been the length or the ? - I have no idea.
My shop is having same problem too, they can purchase through browser but not app . . . i have called and spoke to three people and say nothing is wrong with shop listings.
@FlaxandWoolThreads. Ooh, that's bad! I just checked, and one item, I selected options, and nothing happened when I tapped add to cart. Did not see any error message. And for me, I always get the app on my phone, when I try to get the browser!!

* your first featured item has this issue, but the other 2 I was able to add to cart. So it's not all of your listings.
I read on another thread that a Seller edited a listing on mobile, did nothing, and saved/published, and that seemed to solve the problem.
Worth a try - if you try it with your first featured listing, @ me and I'll check it again.
I know this is old thread but I just found out about this today! And had a customer tell me they couldn't even select a variant or quantity to get to the next step of purchasing. I had to direct them to order through their browser. Why is this happening? I am 100% sure this is costing me sales. Does anyone have a fix please contact me on what to do.
@FlaxandWoolThreads i have just tried it, and i am in the UK (where you dont send to) and i was able to select everything and Add it my cart!! what is going on.
We have had about 16 customers contact us about this error. I started tagging the message threads with a "Bug" label back in November and we have had customers from 11/13 send us screenshots. I have contacted Etsy's seller support 4 times over the past month as we are losing a lot of sales because of this issue. We have contacted them on chat, phone calls, asked customers to reach out to their buyer support team.
We have had customers go find us on other platforms and purchase from us on other platforms because they were so frustrated. While the browser sometimes works, it does not always seem to work. Some customers state that they tried numerous browsers and had to purchase from their laptop at a later time. A customer told us to let us know it worked. I asked if they did anything different and they said:
"No I didn't do anything different it just worked that time when I clicked checkout"
I'm now on a call again with seller support (25 minutes in) and hoping that somehow this gets escalated. We have probably spent a few hours on hold with the seller support team, but it does not seem to get this fixed.
