Cant list my first item, have tried clearing cache different browsers etc,,,,nothing seems to fix it , for several days now..waiting on support any info would be much appreciated!
Are you using the old lister or the new one?
hi, whichever is the default currently, I am not sure if or how to even switch between the two, I am a newbie so that isn't helping the matter...is there a way to still manually switch?
Th old listing version works better than the new one.
At the top of the listing page there is a blue banner ...
... if you are on the OLD listing version page, it will say "You’re using the old listing form. Try out the new, streamlined experience." Then on the right hand side will be "Switch To New Version" button to click.
... if you're on the NEW listing version page, it will say "Welcome to your new, streamlined listing experience." and there will be 2 buttons to select from on the right hand side to click (Switch to old version / Feedback).
You will know if you are on the new version page because there is a survey pop up ... very annoying!
Personally I find the new page glitchy so I prefer to use the old page.
Can you share what the item that you are trying to list is? I wonder if this isn't something that Etsy won't allow to be listed. Sometimes listings are immediately deactivated if they aren't permitted, though I don't know what the message looks like when that happens.
I cant even get that far its just to start a listing that I get a oops something went awry message...it doesnt say anything else, so frustrating!
Etsy ultimately wrote me back saying their engineers are working on issue, but could not give me a timeline as to when it would be resolved, it doesnt make any sense as I cant even list my very first item for sale...it has to be a issue effecting just my account specifically...anyone who can help me resolve it on my own would be much appreciated!
@GriffinVintageCo I'm very sorry you're having trouble. Also, I don't understand Etsy saying their engineers are working on the issue. What issue? (rhetorical question). I see nothing in Announcements, under Technical Issues.
I don't understand either makes zero sense,,,the fact that you cant get anyone on the phone or even a chat agent is absurd...as I said it seems to be something affecting just my account..
I also am a newbie as far as selling and have no idea how to switch to the old listing form, doesn't seem to appear as a option for me.
@GriffinVintageCo While you are waiting on Etsy (sorry, that could be a long time!), you can add your shop location and an about page ... all required info. Have you already gone through setting up your payment & billing info as well as a Plaid verification? Here is some helpful info, if you have not already done so ... be sure all set up is done within a browser, including adding listings (don't use the app!).
