I was dinged for not responding to a message within 24 hours. The fact is that the sender deleted their account within 3 hours and I received an error message trying to respond. This is an obvious flaw in the Star Seller program. Can this be corrected?
Haha! This one takes the biscuit!
Can you mark as spam?
that is what i would try.
Thanks for the suggestion but it's too late now. I will keep it in mind for next time.
You should still be able to mark it as spam. Granted, you have already lost Star Seller for September, but unless you answer a boatload of messages you will lose out for October and November as well. Marking it as spam could save you for those 2 months.
Do mark it as spam now, even if it's past the window. It may adjust. Thanks for the post, that is something to be aware of.
Got it, thanks!
Mark it spam now so you don't have to fight it for 2 more months.
Got it, thanks!
Why not contact Etsy -- they can see when the message was sent and the account closed and reinstate star status if warranted. As much fun as it is to poke at them in the forums, they really can be helpful when you reach the right agent. Etsy sell callback
Got it, will do, thanks!
I marked a message as spam 3 days after the fact on Aug. 31 and got my Star Seller badge for September. August 31 message rate went from 100% to 80% for 1 message. I marked it as spam.
A customer placed and order, then sent a message she didn't mean to order it and to cancel and refund.
I did cancel and refund right away, but forgot to respond to her that I did that in the messages. I put a note on the cancellation form.
Nice! Wish I had thought of that.
