I've been trying endlessly to connect to my Facebook account in the 'Account Settings' section on Etsy but to no avail! I was able to successfully connect to G+ which only took seconds. I don't understand why it's not connecting to Facebook, is there some sort of a glitch or is this option no longer available? I really want to get this sorted asap as I want to showcase my products on both Facebook and Instagram.
Hope someone out there has the solution. Thanks
It's frustrating because they send you around in circles and I am having the same problem. I've called ETSY and after a long time with a representative I was told the problem is at META and on FB.
This is insane. I've spent hours trying to get it linked. I chatted with tech support on Etsy side and they basically said it was Facebook. I love that we pay fees for things we can't use.
@TheAstroMagicalShop: Unfortunately this is one time that support is correct that it is someone else's fault. Changes that Facebook (Meta) made have changed the entire process and there is nothing that Etsy can change to make it better.
Said the same to me and I thought it was me, so I was just about to HIRE an expert from Fiver. Good thing I didn't do that! I would have had to pay them anyway. Honesty is the best policy here and ETSY should just say we can't do it.
Ok, I've figured something out. IF you have your pages under a business portfolio they won't show up as available on Etsy. At least that is what is happening on my end. I've tested it and it seems then you have a choice...keep your business page under your portfolio and take advantage of what FB has there without Etsy, or, take your page out of the portfolio to be managed by your personal account and then it shows up.
Hi, thank you for that! I used to be able to link my "milestones" and "new products" to FB but I think they were charging me because I did get involved in an ad campaign. Cost a lot of money for zero return. Can you tell me how you took your page out of the portfolio?
The code is borked and clearly whoever wrote it is no longer employed at Etsy and no one else knows how to fix it.
im about ready to swap over to shopify. this is just one of the many problems i cant seem to figure out with Etsy. Its really starting to get under my skin. Ive been working tirelessly for MONTHS now just to make 10 sales, but thanks to the glitches, malfunctions, and not-so-user-friendly interface, not to mention the fact that there is NO support from Etsy for its sellers, no matter how many requests you send them, Im ready to throw my hands up. Its not worth it. Everything is seamless with Shopify and major social media platforms from what I understand, and Shopify has a flat monthly fee instead of a rate for each individual listing. This has been a huge waste of my time. Ive spent hundreds on ads and marketing and resources, for absolutely nothing except debt and misery.
Hello, it is now July 26 2024 and I still can not connect Facebook to my Etsy shop. No problem with Pinterest and Twitter or X
