Hi, I need your help regarding a message from Etsy. I can't find the chat box on the Etsy website, so please guide me on where to locate it or how to verify my profile. Thanks!

Here is the message from Etsy:

Conversation recipient account is closed

Order processing system!

Hello, your product was paid for by the customer, but because your profile is not verified, your store is temporarily unable to accept new orders and payment from the customer.

To restore the store and receive new orders in your profile, please write your e - mail address in the chat. You will be sent a notification where you will be able to pass a simple verification.

That's a scam attempt.  Put the message in spam.

Scam! Etsy messages will be in your Etsy message area. Chat is on your dashboard..on PC bottom right..but not everyone has the chat option and it is only there at certain times.

STOP! This is a scammer, not Etsy. Scammers have swarmed, targeting new Sellers as well as seasoned ones. They are using "Verification" as one of their scams, posing as Etsy Staff/Support, etc.   When you receive a LEGIT Message from Etsy Support/Staff, etc., it will appear in the "From Etsy" Folder (in Messages). If it isn't there, Mark the Message as Spam (so you don't get dinged for S Seller). 

They have been posing as "Buyers", stating they need your email for an Order. They don't, Etsy already has it. When you receive a LEGIT Order, it will appear in "Orders & Shipping" (Left Column of Shop Dashboard); if it isn't there, you have no Order.  Mark the scammer's Message as Spam (so you don't get dinged for S Seller).  And never click on links or engage with them.

I'm sorry you were targeted, and glad you didn't engage. Currently there is a Pinned Announcement at the top of the Forum, "Protect Your Account From Scammers". Hope this helps you.

As mentioned, it is a SCAM / phishing message. Be sure to mark the message as SPAM so that it does not affect your stats.

I JUST GOT SCAMMED WITH THIS! Thankfully I only had .17 cents in my account.

@FoxTradingPost please make sure you contact your bank/credit card and get that card stopped immediately. The scammers now have your details and whilst thankfully you didn't lose much (this time) they can process another debit at any time and catch you out. They also know you are an easy target. Sorry this happened to you.

This line at the top of the message should tell you that this is a scam.  The account has been closed, by Etsy, before you could reply to it and get scammed.

If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.
