Changing the shop's account

Hi.

After 6,5 years as having my shop as a hobby, I am thinking of opening a small business (really small :D). Is it possible to keep my old shop going under different kind of business? I mean, I'd open new bank account, obviously, but I'd like to keep it going since I invested a lot of time and energy into it.

I wrote to Etsy a month ago and I got no reply. At the same time, I got info that that is not possible.

Please, help.

 There is no need to ask Etsy about this.  You can keep your old shop and you can rename it if you wish and use a different bank account and sell different items than you sold before.

@JJewellerySuppliesUK  I tried using different bank account. I managed to add it, but I can't use it. So, something is not right.

Plus, I want to switch from hobby to business. That's what I am worried about.

There is no distinction between hobby and business on Etsy (like there is on Ebay).  If you are selling goods you are automatically a business. 

What you will need to do is register your business with your Tax Authority in Croatia and then declare your earnings.  You should look at their Website for registration information. 

You might need to write to Etsy if your bank details won't work for deposits.  Etsy will probably want you to verify that bank account by sending a small deposit for you to enter.  Go to your Dashboard - Finances - Payment Settings to see if there is a notification there.  All shops are required to sign up for Etsy Payments which maybe you are already signed up for.  If not see below:
