Category names and Shop announcement don't work! Help!

Hi everybody!

I renamed a category name of my shop to "Favor Boxes", but I don't know why it keeps showing "Please boxes". And also I changed Shop announcement text several time, but it keeps showing the old text. What to do? Please help!

Sounds like a translation thing to me.

Where are you changing the information? Shop manager for sections?  Use the pencil.  Edit the name. I can't recall if there is save or not but if there is hit save.  What is the word for favor in your language?  I find the translator says this բարեհաճություն.     հաճոյախոսություն translates as pleasure.

For announcement, where are you changing it?  Edit on shop home page or under Info and appearance.  Use the edit on the shop home page.  Click edit and save if needed.  Right now I see informaion about a sale.

I do it as you described. Nothing changes. My shop language is English. Both Category name and shop announcement stay the same even if I change them 100 times.

Is see favor boxes. The announcement says Summer sale! Summer sale!

I think it may be a "Translation" issue as the OP is in Armenia? I am in Australia and, for the "Section", I see "Please Boxes" and the "Shop Announcement" is "20% - 30% OFF on most items! Hurry to order! Limited time only!".

I don't know what this means, but I saw Please boxes as well. But going with @VintageRescueSquad's idea that it's a translation issue:  There is a gray box under the listing categories that says Etsy translates most text to your preferred language. Then there's a link to See original language. I clicked the link and then - your category is Favor Boxes. 

It seems Etsy is translating your English to English. ??

If your English is as fluent as it seems, you don't need translation, right? So maybe there is a "please translate" setting that can be turned off?

I found out that my shop's default language is Spanish. I don't understand how and why. In the settings I see languages and translations which shows default is Spanish, now I don't know how to make English my default. Any idea?

Weird! I think all the info you need is here. There's a link ETA: AT THE BOTTOM on how to change your default language. *ETA: It appears you have to add English as another shop language first.* Post again if you need more help.
