Star Seller Tracking Number Issue

Most of the items I sell are in a regular envelope, but since regular envelopes DON’T HAVE TRACKING NUMBERS, this caused 2% of my sales to ‘ship on time’. I contacted chat and they said to select ‘this order does not have tracking’ which I ALWAYS SELECT. Yet, it still says it didn’t ship on time and it KILLS the tracking rating. Chat said they cannot reevaluate which really sucks because I RARELY ship out items with an actual tracking number.

The On-time dispatch & tracking section shows a percentage of how many orders were dispatched on time. On-time dispatch means that orders were dispatched according to the processing times you set in your listing description. You can also see a breakdown of your shop’s dispatch performance. Star Seller is about meeting customers’ expectations, and these vary according to each market. Orders of a certain value will need to have tracking or a postage label purchased on Etsy. The requirement values are based on currency. 

All other currencies (inclusive of USD)	Tracking or a postage label purchased on Etsy required for all orders.

All of my sales were sent on time, none of them showed that they were. Very disappointed with this loophole to not give out star seller ratings.

Star Seller requires all sales over $10 US or equivalent (that is $15AU for me) to be sent with tracked shipping.  Regardless of the fact you ship on time, if you don't have tracking and the order is over $10US, it doesn't meet SS requirements.  Because you are in the US you have the advantage that you can buy inexpensive Letter rate postage on Etsy and it qualifies.  I am not so lucky, overseas shipping from AU does not routinely include shipping and the basic shipping doesn't even offer it as an optional extra.  I have resigned myself to never achieving the badge, simply because I will not charge my buyers unnecessarily for exorbitant tracked shipping rates just to get a badge that means nothing in the long run. At least you have a valid way to achieve the badge if you really must have it.

There is no $10 threshold.
