The order contains physical items AND a digital download...
The system does not allow me to mark this order as shipped - the confirm button is grayed out.

It sounds like it might have to be two items to dispatch as a digital would auto dispatch when its downloaded, And the physical item would need to be dispatched with tracking so it complies with Etsy's policies
I recently had an order with both digital and physical. I bought a label for the physical and it shows completed and shipped.
Is the digital item on its own listing or on the same listing with physical?
Otherwise ordering physical and digital are separate and you can buy labels for the physical.
