I use Chrome on a laptop with no issues - has anyone been saying this issue is related to any particular browser or system?
Did you know you can now print labels in the new blue Seller app? Has anyone tried that? You need a wifi enabled printer, but it's easy if you already have one.
I urge everyone to have a backup plan for labels - I use PirateShip, the rates are same or better than Etsy rates - you can integrate if you wish, or just copy-paste the tracking numbers. These issues arise now and then - I can't let glitches slow me down when I need labels, and I'm sure this won't be the last time.
I use chrome with an Apple MacBook and problems with label printing is still on and off. When is ETsy going to hire workers that can and will fix problems in a timely matter.
Too bad they are not on a Stat Seller system. THey would fail!!!
I wasn't able to access labels for a while today. Now I can. I just went over to Pirateship and printed there instead.
If you haven't yet, set up an account at PirateShip and sync it with your Etsy shop. Then if this ever happens, you can print your labels just as quickly over there. All info is pre-filled, so it takes no more work than printing them here, and tracking numbers are automatically entered on Etsy. And it is not unusual for PS to have cheaper rates than Etsy in some cases.
I tried several times before I had to ship an order out that had to go out today. Finally gave up after trying everything I could do to try to get it to work. Had to pay full price at the post office in order to ship it out today. Very frustrated!
Its not an amazing solution however, I have found two workarounds.
Unplug your label printer from your computer and the power on the wall. Wait ten minutes. Plug back into the computer first, then the wall power. My labels are printing like normal now.
Press the 'truck' button to get the shipping label --> nothing will happen. Then after press the refresh button on internet browser (I am using Chrome) and wait a few seconds the box will pop up. I have to do this for every label but it does work and I am able to get my shipping done.
I was having trouble printing labels and here is my fix! Click the order you want to buy the label for and click purchase shipping label. If the screen doesn't open, click reload page on your browser and the screen will open.
Problems with ETsy labels continue. They work a few days (if that) and then back to no bulk and playing with each one back and forth until it may or may not print.
WE must all go to another source for shipping. Unfortunately, we don't get to rate ETsy or get fees deductions for all their constant grief., and systems that do not work right. This site was soooo easy a few years back. Now a nightmare.
Wow -- thanks so much for the tip! For the first time in ages we were able to get an entire day's worth of labels to load. I had to click the F5 button twice but it did bring them up. (Trying to reply to eileenb58 below but it seems to have thrown it in the wrong place).
We've been having tons of trouble with shipping labels for almost a month now and are bouncing between Pirateship and Etsy to get labels done. We're having better luck in the 2 smaller shops, but doing a large quantity of labels from the big shop never seems to work regardless of the browser used. It's very difficult getting stuff out and we do hope this is fixed well before the Mother's Day rush.
Similiar problem: Try and buy/print a label, etsy says "Sorry come back later", when I finally get through, I've purchased extra labels and can't get refunds for duplicates. Doesn't seem to be a way to refund ourselves.
You have to have the "customer service" help process the refunds. Mine were frozen. I could refund 2 of the 5 that ETsy caused.... through their on going ....never ending....technical issues. And there is no mention in the technical section any of this is occurring.
