The Core Details Error has been widely addressed in the Technical Forum. I am having the same problem of not be able to add a new listing due to the Core Details section. Reading through the discussions on this subject I have notice that the activity over the last 7 days has increased. You can search & find this subject popping up 3 weeks ago.
In my desperate attempt to find the "Etsy technical solution" there was none. Crickets! I do appreciate the many fixes suggested by Etsy Seller Community, none of them worked for me.
I sent an URGENT REQUEST email to Support regarding my difficulties when it came to publishing my listing specifically Core Details. Within a few minutes I received an AI generated reply, telling me how sorry they are that I am running into difficulties trying to publish a listing. To narrow down the root cause I have to follow a list of keystrokes with screen shots & URL's as I attempt to create a new listing, then email MISTER AI with the results. MISTER AI will then notify the "team" to log it in for investigation.
So folks that's where I am at this moment. It seems to me MISTER AI is the new way, God forbid we speak with a human. I'll send MISTER AI the requested info & see what happens next.
I tell this story in hopes that other sellers experiencing this problem will find a sense of peace knowing that MISTER AI will be our hero & resolve this GLITCH so we all can get back to listing our inventory!
BTW - Pls don't judge me by the appearence of my shop. My sales have been rather slow & I have ignored my shop, making better sales at flea markets & vintage shows. Definitely need to add new inventory.
I think somebody forgot to program the red warning label before rolling out the new core details screen. I had the same problem before I realized I had to scroll down and answer all the questions before submitting that page. Have you tried that yet?
Speaking only for myself, the core details debacle doesn’t allow scrolling. It just sits there looking evil

Sorry, I didn't realize scrolling was part of the issue everyone was having. Oops!
@CreeksideCraftwork The scrolling wasn't working when it happened to me for Core Details. I even changed my battery in my mouse
Same issue. Went thru all the screen shots and they told me to try filling out the entire form then go back and try the core details last. That didn’t work for me either. When all was said and done, they told me it was a know issue and their tech engineers know about the problem and are working on it. That was over a week ago. Maybe it’s time for them to get new engineers.
I don't know about everyone else but I'm very frustrated with this Core Details issue. Sales completely dropped off , I'm beginning to wonder if all of these tech problems have something to do with drop in sales.

I too am very frustrated with the issue with the core details. It used to be so easy to make a listing on my iPhone and now I have to do it on a desktop, but I figured out an easier way to do it. I do the entire listing on my desktop. I drag a photo that has nothing to do with the listing from my desktop . I create the listing. Then I go in with my iPhone and add the photos. It’s easier and saves some time. Hope this helps. I also increased my budget to five dollars a day which has increased my sales. I was advertising at two dollars a day for over four years and wasn’t getting this amount of sales. I am now getting. Maybe you could try increasing your budget.

Still not fixed here and lve had my end checked out completely. Contacted Etsy 3 times via chat told must be patient. Very hard to list and my sales pretty none existent same time this started. They must be loosing a lot of money in listings fees and sales now as so many cannot list. Copy paste rubbish night mare. Doesn't work. And l sent them screenshot too. Pretty shocked by it all now as going on way to long.
Install the Etsy seller app. List your item and it will save automatically as a draft. Now go to your regular listing store and it will be in your drafts to edit and finish. It’s extra work but allows you to list until the glitch is fixed. Some time this year hopefully.

Correct. Install the Etsy app for sellers. Then switch to your regular Etsy app
I have had the exact same problem and the exact same suggestions which have not helped me. Going on week three with not being able to list anything. I have no sales and I’m very frustrated. If you resolve this problem please let me know. Thanks so much in advance! Good luck to all!
This is only a work-around - but copy and edit an existing listing. I've been able to list that way. I am using a computer - no idea how that would work in the app.
I NEVER start a listing from scratch. I always copy a listing on computer and or app and revise for the newest item. NEVER an issue so I am surprised to continually see so many people complaining about not being able to list because of Core Details. This is an easy solution.
That's great...if your listing the same type of thing over and over again. But when selling a lot of different types of vintage items like jewelry, home decor, clothing, purses, toys, antiques, etc. there is so much editing and deleting old photos and uploading new ones that it takes twice as long to create a listing. I would call it an inconvenient hack.
Thank you for introducing me to "Mister AI" .... what a joke. I emailed Etsy regarding the same issue and I received a response asking me if they addressed my issue. I responded by saying, you never responded at all. Just send off another note to them. Been with Etsy for a very long time and they are just getting worse and worse. Now we have Mister AI running the show. This is just great ! (sarcasm here).
Experiencing same issues with "core details." I used to sell on Etsy years ago, stopped and starting up again. Not sure if the new listing procedure changed, but this is painful!
On my iPad I found if I remove the screen rotation lock and rotate the iPad to portrait then I can click all the sections. I can’t list any new items on my phone right now due to this glitch which has been reported to Etsy by many previous sellers and nothing has changed….

I just went through the process as if I were setting up a new listing from scratch and didn’t encounter any issues with the core details. As another seller mentioned, when the popup box appears with required selections, there’s a scroll bar on the right side that you need to use to see all the options. Also, selecting one item in the list may trigger additional choices, so be sure to check for any new sections that appear below that section after making a selection. If you’re still having trouble, try using a desktop computer if possible—I always create my listings on a desktop, and it tends to work smoothly.

Oh shoot, I just tried making a new listing and I'm getting the red error message too. Can't even save it as a draft.
No worries….ive neglected my shop over the last 5 weeks of the core details being frozen on my site. I have so much to list and so little sales. I know many are suffering and I pray this will be fixed soon. I have no ambition to copy and overwrite an old listing. Thanks for your feedback….keep it coming with any updates. What a shame!
