I purchased a few labels today and although I selected today (Friday) as the ship day, it says the buyer will not be notified until several days later. I think is the "ship by" date.
I thought I selected the incorrect date but I double checked and I 100% selected today's date.
Any one else having this issue?
Yes!! I just noticed this for an order I'm shipping today. When I looked at my completed orders it says "buyer notification scheduled for June 2nd." Why?! That's two days from now! And I didn't even get the label on Etsy, I got it on Pirate Ship. The first two orders I purchased labels for don't say that. They showed up normally, and I didn't change anything after I bought them. Something has gone really wacky since Etsy separated the processing times because this isn't the only glitch I've run into since then.
eta: All three of these orders are scheduled to ship on June 2nd which makes this even harder to understand.
I am so glad I took a photo of it because when I went back in to ship another order it looks to be fixed. We will see if it works normally today when I ship more orders.
@PrettyCuteCuts: What is the package status - i.e. Pre-Transit, etc? You should keep an eye on the Star Seller csv file to make sure that the label date is captured correctly. Overall, this sounds more like a user interface glitch than a back end data issue.
The package status is updating as normal.
It is the notification that the order was shipped that said “buyer will be notified on June 4th”.
so if that is true I would have shipped it yesterday and to the buyer it would look like I didn’t actually ship it until way later.
@PrettyCuteCuts: Do you request that a copy of the shipping notification be eMailed to you? That should answer for you the question of when the buyer is actually being notified.
I don't. I unclicked that box a few years ago because it was too many email.
When I went back to mine just now, it was gone too. Hopefully all is okay now.
This just happened to me as well. I dont use the Etsy labels, I manually input everything. One order says notification scheduled for June 4th, buyer expects by June 3rd. WHAT?
Yeah, I thought it might've been fixed but the same thing happened again for me. Since it disappeared after a few hours the first time, I'm hoping it's a just a glitch and these notices are actually going out properly.
We are having this issue as well. Even crazier is that the "Pre-Transit" classification is showing on two orders that have been cancelled! They are NOT pre-transit! They were duplicate orders and I contacted the customer to make sure they only wanted "1" of the item. Etsy needs to stop screwing around with the system. Not all changes are needed or good.
