Bank Account Verification

I received an email from Etsy stating that Plaid was not able to verify my bank account and I needed to re-enter my banking info. However, when I try to do so nothing happens when I click the 're-enter bank details' button. Is anyone else having this problem? Also, I've used the same bank/accounts for many years, not sure why there would be an issue in the first place.

Who knows @BadChollaVintage  things with Etsy are just so glitchy all the time. It is just so frustrating to not be able to be rid of reminders that aren't useful because they don't disappear when they should.

I have multiple shops on Etsy and went through the verification with PLAID for each on and then they sent all the amt at one time to my bank and didn't way which amt is for which shop so can't verify them...any one have an idea on how to reach someone to correct this before they shut down my shops I have had for 15 years>

@idoartsyweddings  do you remember which account you did in which order? If you do, hopefully the first two deposits would be for the first account, the next two for the next account, etc.

For this reason, we did the verification for this shop and waited for the deposits and entered them to complete the verification. Then we began the verification for our second shop account. Once the second is done I will check to see if our third shop account has received notice to verify. I don't know if we will use that account again. So if it doesn't get verified on time, it is not so critical.

I got the same email yesterday as some of you did. I reverified using the same method ( Instant) as before when I first verified and I noticed before it showed my last 4 digits of bank info and now that I verified and connected the 2nd time it just shows connected to my Bank name. My question is for those that have been verified does this show on your end to the name of your bank vs the 4 digit account info? Just checking to see if I did it right. No I didn't do it manually, but I did change my Password ( again shaking my head)

I should have looked here before messing with all this. At the very least, I should have cashed out first. I tried to verify, and it wasn't working. I contacted etsy support for help, where the agent took it upon themselves to unlink my bank account and told me to just re-add it. But, I dont have the option to. I only have a yellow box about enrolling in etsy support/contact support. Now all my money is stuck, I cant order supplies for my orders, and I have contacted support at LEAST a dozen times. I keep being told they are sending my ticket to a "specialist" and they will get back with me. It has been WEEKS now, and I have no access to money, no way to add my account back, and getting absolutely no help from Etsy

What an absolute NIGHTMARE.....SAME PROBLEMS... Maybe we should all get together and contact our local news stations about this widespread problem that have affected all of us financially and emotionally with absolutely NO HELP and NO WAY to talk with ETSY customer support on these matters via telephone. . Now my last deposits that were suppose to go in my account today (after 10 years on ETSY with no issues) are not able to be deposited because of this bank verification.

yes... same here.. trying to update banking details to new format my credit union uses... ETSY will not recognize the account number I've been getting paid on for years...  zen desk unreachable... no way to get help..l searched endless forum posts... no answers have worked for me ... 27 days left... at wit's end...

Disgusting that Etsy sends a bunch of eMails I don't want, but, not a peep on how to fix their glitch mess.

I guess Etsy figures we'll all suffer through it w/ Chat Buddies & figure it out ourselves.

I for one have lost Trust... I will not add another product until I hear some mea culpa.

Plenty of Sites to sell good pieces on.

PLAID verification fails..............no button to click to ADD MANUALLY............waited forever to "chat" w/support. He said someone would email me . never did........same ole same ole.........!!!!!!

Does anyone have an update? After waiting for plaid to verify me, they came back and said I failed for whatever reason. So now on Etsy I have a giant red box saying if I don’t verify plaid in two days I won’t receive funds and I could be suspended. What a nightmare.

I went through this, have 4 shops. On hold with Etsy for over an hour. Finally, after reading through the forums, I vaguely remember years ago that I had to add zeroes to my bank account number when I first opened my shop. Just did this, added 2 zeroes, and bingo! verification went right through without having to get Etsy to disconnect and re-connect my account.

Where do you add the 2 zeros? At the beginning or at the end?

I cannot verify my bank account either. I am 100% positive I'm entering the right account number, yet I always get the message "The account number you entered doesn't match what we have on file".  I have even verified the account number with my bank to be 100% sure.  I would try to verify manually, except that I don't even get an option to verify manually when I select "Connect your bank via Plaid".  5 messages to customer service now and multiple lock outs trying -- and I have nothing to show for it.  Customer Service - PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Did you ever get this resolved? I read that most banks don't accept third-party (Plaid for instance) verification codes. Mine is one they don't accept. Here's the link to banks that accept Plaid verification codes. This is crazy.

Customer Service - PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!"  DO NOT open a new issue or contact Etsy multiple times about the same issue (doing so closes the one you already opened and puts the new one on the bottom of the pile). Every eMail from Etsy support will have a link something like "I Still Need Help". Click on that link (or actually reply stating that you still need help) to keep the report alive. You may have to do this innumerable times, but once on each Etsy reply before anything is done but do not give up.

My bank account was hacked. Account was locked (no with drawls allowed but deposits OK). Tried to enter new bank account number but ETSY process not working. Had bank unlock the account to enter new bank account number on ETSY, not working. Too many tries, etc. ABSOLUTELY no way to either text, email or talk to anyone at ETSY. At least the deposits from sales will go into the locked account & I have to have bank move to the new account. ISSUE: NO customer service from ETSY. It should not be this hard.

I tried to do what they are asking and basically I give all my bank details to that Plaid thing. I don't feel safe about this. I do not know who these people are and I don't like them knowing all about my bank details. My husband was hacked a couple of years ago and I don't want the same thing happening to me. I am not doing this until the matter is resolved and Etsy provides me with a serious explanation.

Plaid wants me to give a verification code with the deposit they sent to some account that’s not even mine. It shows the last four digits of the account it went to and that isn’t mine and not what Etsy has on file.
also, Etsy isn’t letting me update my bank info to try to “reset it” if that will even help.

@KYBECK  I've read of others who had issues with the account that was on file. They worked to make contact with Etsy support and had Etsy support remove the bank account on file allowing them to start from scratch. From what I've read, it can take multiple contacts asking support to reset the banking to completely remove an account that has become messed up in some way.

I'm about to close my account. Etsy's incompetence is appalling. I can't even see my own bank account number on file for Etsy payments. Etsy chat was pointless. A follow up email promised that hasn't materialized. Off to make money elsewhere where I can depend on reliable payment.

The Etsy email eventually arrived. I'd already relinked my bank account after they unlinked it to fix a problem that I didn't create. Now payouts disrupted for 5 days for "security reasons".  Corporate inefficiency at its best: waste individual sellers time hoping none of them notices the extent of the collective cost of probably thousands having to navigate a "known problem" running for at least 2 weeks now. Well, back to trying to earn some income.

I went through the manual verification process and received two deposits of $1.00 each. I tried to enter the deposit amounts and it wouldn't accept them, stating the amount had to be between $.01-.99. Has anyone else experienced this?
