Any help with this would be apreciated! I sent out 10 orders on Wednesday and got a copy of the dispatch email for each one. Since then, every 30 minutes I have been recieving, and assume the customer has too, an email to say the item has been dispatched. It's just for one of the packages thank goodness.
So at least 50 emails! I've tried appending a made up tracking number and that seemed to stall it for an hour but then it started with avengence.
I have my postage intergrated with Royal Mail and so packages are automatically marked complete when I've bought the postage. The package is showing as dispatched in both interfaces.
I have messaged the customer to appologise but haven't heard back, her inbox is probably full up...
Sure this is a bug, but how to contact Etsy about it?
Try contacting Etsy via chat or getting them to call you back via the help contact us
Tried via chat and they just kept saying it wasn’t them
as did RM
Definitely sounds like an issue that Etsy tech support team will have to look into.
I had the same about a week ago Royal Mail say it’s not them and Etsy were useless
The only way I could get it to stop after nearly a week of emails every 30 minutes is to actually cancel the order and gift the item to my patient customer
And now it has started again with another customer
The common thread between the 2 seems to be that both customers ordered items separately and I wanted to combine postage for them
so in RM site I marked one as being sent by another carrier (so I still had a record rather than cancel) and added the second item on to the first’s entry and bought postage from there and it is this combined entry is the one that is repeating
I use the dispatch notification myself directly on Etsy as I pack each item and then a bulk dispatch notification through RM to update this system and it is this RM update that seems to trigger the multiple every 30 mins updates
Is this the email from Etsy or from Royal Mail? Have you tried turning off dispatch notifications on the Click & Drop website. I think they should still received the one from Etsy.
There are some odd happenings with Click & Drop since the last update. All of a sudden the delivery confirmation codes are being passed back to Etsy (having never worked before - except for one week last November). I'm happy they are now working as they should but if it stops again I fear my shop might be put on reserve.
Royal Mail say they cannot send dispatch confirmations directly to our customers They send info to Etsy
Wow. This is really something!
It’s terrible!
I’ve tried posting an answer to this 3 times now and it has got marked as spam and deleted so a shorter version
it is being caused by RM Click and Drop - tho they may try and deny it
you need to contact them via business account email giving the relevant information for the order
it is them, and it’s been ongoing for a while and they have a tech team working on it
temporary relief by turning off C&D dispatch notifications but it will come back when you turn notifications on again
@APassionforSasha Was your problem ever fixed?
