Authenticator code disappeared

I was signing in and, as usual, I was asked for my authenticator code. I went to get it and it completely disappeared. I don't have any "emergency" codes (I honestly don't even remember turning it on) and I can't figure out how to get a new one and I can't turn it off without a code. Help!
