Are My Listing Views Legit???

Hi - has anyone experienced this weird situation...

I have listed aprox 30 new listings in the past month.  They are all getting clicked on/views - repeatedly.  What is unusual, is that they have all been getting clicked on the SAME AMOUNT of views each day.  This happens almost every day right now, but mostly over night.  

I've been on etsy for 13 years and have never experienced anything like it.  Usually newly listed items will receive one or two views on the first few days of them being listed, and then it drops off, till they become more popular, or someone purchases one them, etc.  But today for example, ALL of my new listings each have 5 views.  Every one of them.  And I am NOT running any paid adds or anything like that.  Plus, there is not any traffic from search terms being used for these new items.  There is just no reason that I can come up with for all 30 of these items to have the SAME amount of views every day.  The views don't seem like they are legitimate.

Does Etsy have bots that click on our stuff?  I read somewhere that they do have them to scan for listings that are against regulations, but would this happen over and over? 

Would love some input for this.  I will probably contact etsy soon, as it's frustrating, but wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this in their views.

they are what etsy tells you they are. I have no faith in the stats, nor with google stats. that's my perspective. the only stat I can believe in is the sales that are deposited to my bank, and I can absolutely measure my efforts based on that. my website is double sales year over year, and my etsy shop is down 15% year over year. therefore, I focus where results present themselves to the effort I put in.

They might be bots - it's difficult to say. Etsy used to filter out the bot views but sometimes they don't. Bots aren't just used by Etsy. Google will scan listings to index them. Also other search engines or bad actors might be viewing your listings - there's not much we can do about it.

This has been happening to me for the last 3 days but noticed today seems to be back to normal

Yes! About 3 weeks ago it was happening to me. I listed around 10 new items. Overnight, each one was clicked 4 times (along with some older listings). It happened in under 10 minutes with no Google Analytics visits, no likes, questions or purchases. It is definitely not organic and may be bots. It's very strange. It happened for about a week straight.

Thank you TylerGraceCo - at least I know it's not just me.  I know there is nothing I can do about it, but as it's usually an overnight occurrence, it's just startling to start my day with like 150 views, but no corresponding favorites, no purchases, no activity at all to show that there is actual interest in the items being viewed.  On any average day, my overnight views will be between 20 and 30.

I have something similar happening in my shop. For the past 2+ months I get a visit at exactly 3:00 pm every day and it comes from Direct & Other Traffic. I don’t think a buyer is doing it. I’m guessing it’s a bot, but why I don’t know.
