Good morning! Thank you all for your help with my question before about messages from the end of month.
I have been following my stats, and it is showing that I missed the 24 hour mark on another message, which didn’t seem right. The message history report and the conversation in Etsy is showing that the customer messages at 2:22am on Saturday, 11/05 and that I responded the morning of 11/06. I remember this message, and making sure I responded within the window.
I went back to my emails, and I got the email notification that this customer messaged at 2:22 am on Sunday, 11/06, and I responded at 7:30 am on Sunday, 11/06. I remember waking up to the notification as well. This information is contradictory, and I am wondering if it had something to do with the clock/time change that night (all of the times posted as EST, I think the message was close to the turnover by standard time).
Has anyone had a similar issue? And if the data is not correct, how would I go about contacting Etsy to correct it?
Thank you all so much!
@TheSplendorofSpirit: Star Seller stats and calculations and the CSV file are in UTC (not in your time zone) so time changes should have no effect on them. Have you subtracted Message date and Message time from You replied on and Time of reply to see if it is greater than 24 hours?
This is from the Star Seller dashboard...
'Etsy Support can’t make changes to your Star Seller data or manually award Star Seller badges. If you think your Star Seller score was calculated incorrectly, you can let us know in the Technical Issues forum"

It is greater than 24 hours in the message history, yes. But the date/timeof the message is off a day from the date/timein the email and phone notification I received stating that I had a message. The email and phone notification came in at 2:22 am on Sunday, 11/06, and I responded at 7:30 am on 11/06, when I received the notification that I had a message, but the time stamp on the message itself shows that it came in at 2:22 am on 11/05 and that I replied at 7:30 am on 11/06. That would be over 24 hours. I’m not sure if there is a system hiccup with the date, or if my notifications that I received a message were delayed for 24 hours. I’m not sure there’s anything I can do about it either way, but if there is a way to avoid a repeat I would love to do so
@TheSplendorofSpirit: Please remember that Etsy stats and the CSV file are in UTC but reports you see are (usually) in your time zone. Also if you read through this forum you will see innumerable reports of issues with notifications through the apps (from none to grossly delayed to ghost notifications) and eMails can always be delayed for innumerable reasons.
I did see that. So if there’s an issue on Etsy’s end, am I correct in reading that there’s nothing we as sellers can do to correct the situation? They ask us to “fill out a form” here, but it looks like it’s more of a peer to peer conversation. Don’t get me wrong - I’m so grateful for the advice! I’m just unclear how one would go about fixing an issue.
Also, I noted that a comment above was selected as a “solution.” Is that something someone from Etsy updates? I’m still looking for resolution, and I am pretty sure I didn’t mark this issue as solved, lol!
