An item that I removed from cart keeps popping up

I put an item in my cart a month ago.  I removed it a few days later.  Since then I continue to get a pop up reminder that this item can still be purchased.  How do I stop the pop up?  I tried logging out of my shop, but that hasn't helped.  I tried adding the item to my cart again to see if there was a different way to remove it and it shows that the item isn't even available anymore.

i don't know if this will help, since the pop-up doesn't seem to be following logic.... but have you tried clearing out your Recently Viewed items on etsy? it's located under account settings > privacy. (or here is a link. it's the first one at the top under the Privacy tab) https://www.etsy.com/your/account/privacy

@KelleyThreads  - A while back there was a long thread on Etsy's decision to suddenly employ pop-ups reminding you that you'd carted something, favorited a listing, etc. 
There was mention of the pop-ups continuing even after taking an item out of favorites or shopping carts. That the pop-ups still appear is not surprising.

You can try & clear your cache, clean out your recently favorited &/or recently viewed items. Whether or not this will resolve the problem is anyone's guess.

I had the same thing and it finally stopped popping up after a couple months. It's a very annoying bug and I have no idea why it finally stopped but it eventually did stop.

It may not work for everyone, but I thought I would share a solution I found for the pesky cart pop-up that worked for me ... I also posted about it in my original thread here @ https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/No-Offense-Etsy-But-You-re-Completely-Off-Your-Rocker...  

I did some testing and somehow managed to get rid of the annoying cart pop-up.  Since it was one of my own items I put into my cart (incognito mode testing), I just deactivated the item.   No more cart pop up!  I then tested it by reactivating the listing, and still no cart pop up.  It's gone for good ... whew!

But that just means you deactivated your own Listing. What if the Listing is from another Shop? 

Presumably, it will keep "popping up" until the other Seller either sells or deactivates the Listing?

@CarpetCollectionAU -- There is a solution to that, but it is a "controversial" workaround and not every seller will be willing to help with the ongoing pesky cart pop-up issue ... or maybe they will!  Simply contact the shop and ask them to deactivate / reactivate the listing.  It only takes a few seconds to do, but once it is done for that particular item, it will automatically work for everyone else who has that exact same item stuck in their cart.  It's one and done!  Tried, tested and true!

I have the same problem.  I wish I knew the solution.  I was trying to help someone out here in the forums (no good deed goes unpunished!) and put their item in my cart.   Then I removed it.  

The pop up still comes up weeks later....   Sigh....

Have you tried clearing browser history and cookies, might help.

@TDKJdesign I did.  And based on the recommendation above, I cleared my Recently Viewed.  It  had already become random, so I don't know yet if that was sufficient, but I haven't seen it today, so fingers crossed.
