I put my shop on vacation mode a couple of weeks ago or so and reopened a few days ago. When I put it on vacation mode, I only had 2 listings expired. I was keeping up with relisting the other expired listings, but specifically kept two expired. I just checked my shop and it says I have 110 expired listings, some saying they expired all the way back in May! I know for a fact this is not the case. I know this is a glitch and a pricey one on my end.
Has anyone else had this issue?

I just saw how many sales you had so never mind.
Sometimes Etsy is just catching up.
It’s been days though. I’ve been on vacation mode many times and I’m usually back to normal in minutes.
There is a glitch where sometimes products don't expire when they are supposed to (there are numerous posts about it, going back at least a few years). My best guess (which is just that, a guess) is that your listings were supposed to expire in May but didn't. Then when you put your shop in vacation mode and took it back out, the system went through and rechecked all the listings, this time catching the products with older expiration dates that had fallen through the cracks previously.
Here are just a few examples of previous posts about issues with listing expirations:

Thank you for the response and other posts! I wasn't aware of that glitch.
Yes to this.
It happened to me.
@audreytherese @ThePageMageShoppe
me too! This happened to my shop in Jan 24 after my Christmas break.
To avoid this I am manually renewing the stragglers periodically.
I think for some time, there has been an "on again, off again" glitch in Etsy's system. Items that had reached their expiration date (and weren't set to auto-renew), continued to remain visible. Your items may have had an expiration date that ended before or during your vacation...but opening back up after your vacation may have triggered Etsy's "crawling" of your listings, and picking up that they had actually expired.
Thank you! I wasn't aware of that glitch.
I have 41 listings that were supposed to expire yesterday ... they are still active today! I wonder how long it will take the system to figure that out? Guess I will just wait & see what happens as I have no plans on renewing any of them considering how slow sales have been lately.
Don't put your shop in Vacation Mode lol
@TBQSC: We do only manual renewal and our experience has been that there always seems to be a 24 hour grace period before the listing actually expires.
@BagmakerSupply thank you for that little hint (grace period) ... yes I also only manually renew, but always have to keep checking to ensure Etsy has not changed them to auto renew, which did happen one time and I never got reimbursed for the "glitch".
Nope, not gonna do that, lol ... last time I did that, it took a long time to get reindexed! I am just going to let my listings expire for now and then after the new year, I will relist all my handmade quilts. I got booked up pretty fast for the holiday season with quilt orders, so I took them all down back in August. Got 1 more quilt to finish making and then it's time for me to relax for the rest of the year ... already got a cruise booked!
Good planning! Enjoy your well-earned cruise!
Just happened to me. No wonder I wasn't getting even any views. Goodness. Have a lot of clicking to do. Glad to hear it's a glitch and not something I did.
