So it has been going on since Monday and I think we deserve some answers after this many days since the pinned thread has not a single update.
Any tracking manually entered or entered through a third party shipping service is only showing Pre-Transit. I am currently up to over 75 now.
This is effecting star seller status. Will this be addressed?
Do I have to contact Etsy support and give every single one of the over 75 order numbers to get this fixed or will the fix when it is implemented update all the tracking numbers?
It won't be long until my customers start to contact me asking what is going on with their packages and it's not a good look for my shop, or Etsy
@JMOldeVintage I believe the orders affecting the Star Seller status are the orders that were bundled together and the second order that was completed "manually" and had the tracking number put in manually are the ones they are saying should be fixed now. I had two customers where I bundled 2 separate orders together and on my Star Seller it shows I didn't have tracking on 2 orders. The manually entered tracking apparently didn't register. All my "pre transit" orders are still showing pre transit even though they've been delivered, but they aren't affecting my Star Seller status.

I hate to say this, but I'm not sure if Etsy even knows what's happening or what will happen.

Etsy is aware of this tech glitches advised in an email to me recently as I had a similar issue. I do not believe they will fix old orders. They advised it will not effect star seller status if packages are mailed on time. I am relying on USPS tracking status to advise my customers as their packages are scanned along the way. Currently I have 5 orders showing pre-transit that have been delivered.
whatever the "fix" was, its still not working... copy and paste tracking numbers from Pirate Ship still getting the error message that the tracking number is already in use. This is what happens when code is craft, and the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
I have had mine corrected 2 times. Both on chat, last one was this Saturday, they fixed 13 orders, I see my star status returned but now I have 3 more orders to fix again.

Not a update from admin for a week as well.
I got the This Week In Your Shop email. Showed my star seller shipping status was 100% so I thought yay, it's finally fixed. NOPE what a joke! I looked at my actual dashboard online and it still shows 87% with 77 older orders, already delivered still showing pre transit.
This seems to be a 100% Etsy issue. All those tracking numbers on PS show delivered, so they did not have issues connecting to USPS for tracking scan updates.
AND I just had USPS deliver a package from Walmart and Amazon and both those were showing the delivery scan on their websites with in minutes

Last week a chat w/support fixed missing, tracking pkg's that had been delivered. *Seller showed up next day as E. agent said. But I see the new pkg's that has shipped tracking# Missing Again, since last wk's chat is in the Limbo Again.
So We have to Contact Support Everytime this Happens now?
How is this cost effective? Not for me when I have work to do; & for the agents if we have to give support agents every order #'s so they can check out the issues? This last time chat was 1:20 min's.
What happened to it use to update when we entered the tracking # to orders? Something Changed.
I finally got some of mine fixed last week; after 2 chats, 1 phone call and a string of emails(where I got passed to 5 different reps!). I had to copy and paste all of the order numbers, their INCLUDED(!) tracking numbers and current shipping status. The next day I received a follow up email that the orders that were already DELIVERED had been corrected and the others were left as pre-transit. Star Seller updated the following day back to 100% despite the others listed as pre-transit. As of today, my 100% SS has stuck but all orders shipped since are stuck as pre-transit. Glad to have this sort of corrected on my account. Still wondering if that "blanket fix" for all is actually coming and will SS stay if the pre-transit orders never update? Also, why must the order be delivered to be fixed? I thought tracked and shipped on time was the metric?
I have 77 still in error on Etsy. This is infuriating that they will fix for some and not for others, on top of the holes you had to jump through. They have access to our info and can tell what orders are stuck. I see absolutely no reason why this has been going on for 2 weeks now.
I'm sorry @PrettyVagrant ! It is frustrating that some shops are fixed and others are not. I'm thinking I got lucky with the final rep who actually decided to act. A previous rep said that they had located ONE out of the list that I sent and had fixed that ONE. The message was, shouldn't I be grateful they fixed one?! I was grateful, but what about the rest?!
I didn't have near as many affected orders as you. I wonder if the reps avoid cases like yours with 77 orders to manually fix? I wonder if they are just overloaded with complaints and are getting choosy about where and when they dig in and fix? Maybe they are hoping a blanket fix is coming and they don't have to resolve so many for one person? Not making excuses for them, just a thought.
Interesting that your recap email was different than your SS page. I hope that is lag and your actual rating bumps. The first of the month might be pretty scary if a bunch of shops lose SS over this. Also, the potential faux non-delivery cases, reserves imposed, etc. could be ugly too.
I have called customer service about the "pre transit", issue 4 times and was told it was fixed. Obviously not.
Same ongoing issue. I hope Etsy at least decides to omit the shipping aspect in the Star Seller calculations for any of us sellers affected if they aren't able to fix the issue in time for the end of the month.
That's what we all hope - but I wouldn't count on it. Chat said don't expect quick answers or corrections.

I'm still seeing issues on my tracking too. Every one has been delievered according to USPS website but etsy has them stuck in "pre-tranist" I contacted etsy via chat last week and said they would send to the tech team and let me know, so far nothing
I have at least 45 orders that they are screwed up on. This is garbage. Time to fix your mechanicals Etsy.
This pre-transit issue is STILL. NOT. FIXED. I have 2 orders showing in pre-transit status that have already been delivered. I have another two orders in pre-transit status that have tracking in USPS that is not reflected on Etsy. Come on Etsy, you need to get this fixed ASAP!
Yep another today same, they fixed 2 others. Ridiculous.
@BirdsongEmporium The chat person forwarded to tech as they couldn't fix it. They mentioned it's with engineering and they know the forum many with same issue so we just have to wait. I have had chat available off and on dashboard, it's never always. I guess I have to try again for todays order. (yep slow) There's an email version but you wait long or don't hear like an issue of mine since Dec 2. It's really crazy, unacceptable really but we have no choice.
I think when dealing with chat, some tech's are better than others. My orders were fixed after 2 different chat sessions.
A status update from Etsy with a timeline on a complete fix to this problem would be more than appreciated.
If I had to guess.....this is their fix.....forcing us to use their labels....
I went to check the status of those orders that I shipped yesterday via Pirate Ship and they are all showing in-transit on ETSY which is great news! Now ETSY needs to figure out how to update the prior orders from March 1 so that they show as delivered! A timeline on the fix to prior orders would also be greatly appreciated so we don't have to stress out over our Star Seller status.
